[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

So they've announced that the space agency headquarters will be here in Adelaide. It's no coincidence that where just a few months away from an election. At this time, ScoMo is most likely going to all of the states making 'good news' announcements. The announcement of the 'headquarters' being in A...

[COM] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

Um, given Big W is losing their space, I would have thought they'd have the rights to a new space? Also, is Foodland at Marion? If not, they would be well placed to set up shop there. Big W will be the new major store. Foodland isn't in any of the major shopping complexes. Probably because the rent...

[COM] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

Here's my guess
(from largest to smallest mini majors)
1. H&M
2. Uniqlo
3. JD Sports
4. JB Hifi
5. Best and Less
6. Sephora

This could be completely wrong, though I reckon the first two will be H&M and Uniqlo. Perfect combination.

[COM] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

This will take the total gross lettable space to 152,198 - making it the seventh largest shopping centre in Australia. 6 mini majors including 4 new ones (i'd assume H & M, Zara, Uniqlo and Apple). I reckon H&M and Uniqlo will be a definite, Marion is the perfect market for them. H&M will probably t...

[U/C] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million

As much as they are unique asset, the parklands have been a hindrance to Adelaide's growth. Especially when it comes to this mob. That's a bullshit excuse... There are plenty of places that could be developed in the CBD and inner city suburbs. That's like saying heritage is a hindrance on Adelaide'...

Re: Whyalla | Developments & News

This is pretty big news for the whole state.

Could finally see positive figures when it comes to population growth. Only a couple of years ago it looked like Whyalla was going to die a slow death.

[U/C] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million

I’m so bored of this lot screeching “...but LIGHT’S VISION!” every time anything north of North Terrace is proposed as if he was Jesus walking and every stroke of his 1836 quill is sacrosanct. When I took my mrs to Adelaide for a visit I took her to Light's Vision. Apparently in the time I have bee...

[COM] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

Here’s hoping that application is the real deal as wouldn’t mind seeing Marion as the ‘Chadstone’ of Adelaide in years to come. It once was. Marion used to be in the Top 5 biggest shopping complexes in the country. It still holds the title of having the largest cinema complex in the southern hemisp...

[COM] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

^^ Chadstone is on a whole different level compared to the rest of the country. The downside however, there is no train or tram connection which makes it's extremely car dependent. new shops in Marion SC are Daiso variety store and Mr and Mrs Jones, many of those shops listed would be far better off...

Are you sure?
SMA say they are building this in May.
Isnt the builder already contacted.
To stop from here would require the courts.
It hasn't even been formally submitted.
