Re: News & Developments: Bowden TOD

'Residents to move in at the start of 2026'... I hope they can keep to the timeline on this project. I note that the Park Court site at Greenhill Rd is a similar model and nothing's happened there since demolition of existing homes early last year.

Lighting feature for new Myer Centre façade was on the other evening. Not exactly a redeeming feature, but better than without:

New Sportsgirl Rundle Mall coming soon. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240306/072f1292909d672eb96b75a2c6bd707b.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I’m pretty sure this also includes the former spend less shoes store so it’s quite deep. They've been doing stuff on the upper levels too so I wo...

I started an inner east thread for the same reason some time ago but it never took off. Perhaps the mods could merge and pin the thread.

Does it even still have active development approval? They do lapse and it's been almost four years since we've heard anything on this.

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Contracts, Service & Policy

I guess many easy ways to pay fares is a good thing, but a QR code you have to open in an app feels kinda clunky especially if the scanner isn't super quick and there's a queue behind you. The app also doesn't link with your existing Adelaide Metro account — you have to create one for the app specif...

AUTA did get Victoria Tower to construction relatively quickly, so perhaps there's more of a chance of this.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

This and the axed Hove railway overpass project are examples of chicken shit government. The costs are for construction by private enterprise. For the cost of a bike overpass, the government could house 60-80 families during a housing and rental crisis. It's a bit far fetched to say that a governme...

Do we know that it still looks like this? If it's finally been lodged, it's surely been through a few Design Review Panels.

Re: The SA Politics Thread

The easiest way to fix this would be for Australia to become a republic. Done and dusted. What would you do to the states? Our governor represents the Monarch, not the governor-general. Would each state also become a mini-republic? Would we still have governors, but they’d represent the President? ...

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (2019/20 Extension)

Yeah, the Rundle Mall store is way too small. Results in a smaller range, and an unusually cramped experience. I love Uniqlo but have only visited the CBD store once. The shopping experience was very cramped and frustrating and I'm in no particular rush to go back again. Maybe once the Marion store...
