[U/C] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million

Am I the only one who thinks this tower looks superb, and isn’t taking up too much space as long as a second one isn’t built? No I also think this is a great looking building in an ideal location that will start to change our skyline as we enter the city from the North and give more vibrancy to the...

Why can't we have something like that in Adelaide? Give it time Adelaide too will be heading towards becoming a world class city one day. I very much doubt Adelaide will ever have a skyline like Melbourne, and that's okay. It doesn't have too, but it can be unique and world class in its own right.

You'll probably find that the appealing eastern stand will probably be replace with a more appealing hotel, I say bring it on too is an Australian first.

This really stands out flying into the city. Just moved back to Adelaide and have to say the city is looking really nice on approach. Also...Nice to see those ovals near the RAH looking green compared back a few years too! Very nice being back here and genuinely excited to about some of the recent ...

Re: Tv Series "Fucking Adelaide!"

In the meantime the reality is Adelaide is a growing and progressive city that is gem to a lot of people around the world and in Australia, you would have to be blind not to see it. Australian cities like to compete with each other like we do with our football yet each Australian city has its own uni...

Re: Tv Series "Fucking Adelaide!"

If this was written by Adelaidians then they should be ashamed of them selves, and yes there was one comment in the Guardian that is partially true, that is some of us are generally to blame because we focus on the negatives and rubbish our own state ( which is quite a common Adelaidian thing to do)...

I think if the building is lit up at night it may look quite interesting, or maybe some permanent lighting display as a feature. Otherwise during the day it may look a bit ordinary if there were to be no redeeming texture to the building, or glass.

Personally, I like it. Also, I think the tower that will have the biggest impact skyline wise is Luminesque. Out of all of them, this has to be the one for me that I am most excited about. Maybe it's our previous let downs with Currie St . Building tall on our Terraces is a good look and a game cha...

I remember when that was Tom the cheap supermarket two buildings ago and a cinema before that back in the early seventies and late sixties, when one day in 1972 it started to collapse due to poor structure, so they knocked it down and built what is there now, what an amazing transformation this will ...

The location is not bad it just means more has to be developed around that area in the future, so you you may as well start with this. That's the problem - once you start it's a slippery slope, and soon Rundle Street will lose a lot of its character. It's inevitable that the east will get more high...
