tfw your “unashamedly bold” vision is four metres taller than a building that’s been around since 1988.

Do we have any idea if there’s even demand for a chunky new office building?

No blank walls! A unique design! I don’t believe it. Should be a great addition to the skyline :applause:

I quite like this. No huge blank walls. Simple but interesting squares in the design.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

I understand that Thomas foods exports meat to Japan but what are the chances of Adelaide-Japan coming in when there's no Japanese airline interested in even going to Perth. We need to get real in this city, Thailand is the next country we should be concentrating on when it comes to direct flights....

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

I use Regency Road and the T2T all the time to get to the airport, the beach, etc. - but traffic is becoming pretty bad at the Main North Road intersection. Muller Road/North East Road is also a shocking intersection if you're not simply going up or down North East Road. The green right-turn light f...

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

A shopping centre like Chadstone draws people from all over Melbourne (and interstate) so there’s no reason Marion’s visitors would be limited to the local area.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

There’s a big new structure being built in the Airport Business Park close to Tapleys Hill Rd and Burbridge Rd. Anyone know who the planned business/tenant is? New Mitsubishi headquarters perhaps?? Mitsubishi's going in the corner of the main entrance - Sir Donald Bradman Drive and Sir Richard Will...

I'm not a fan. Seems like there's barely any glass and windows - looks like a giant box with a few airholes randomly poked in.

Hopefully it's better in real life if it goes ahead.

Dukes Highway (including the Swanport Bridge which is actually Princes Highway), and the rest of the Sturt Highway with a Truro bypass and probably on a changed alignment through the Riverland. And speaking of Kangaroo Island... Main South Road between Myponga and Cape Jervis isn't much fun. I'm gu...

[PRO] Re: Kangaroo Island Bridge - $5b

We'd be better off duplicating the Victor Harbor Road and the Dukes Highway... and reducing the costs of the ferry.

It was also mentioned in the paper a bridge might threaten the island's biodiversity.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

QantasLink were tossing up between Whyalla and Mount Gambier before they eventually went with the former. It must have been sketchy for a while but I wonder if demand is picking up now that the steelworks have been saved. We can only hope they'll take another look at the Mount - a relatively large, ...

That should be something any purchaser of CBD apartments takes into consideration and if they don't they are foolish. Once a contract is signed there are very few things to enable you to get out of it. A building going up next door blocking your view is not one of them. The only way it potentially ...
