[APP] Re: Royal Hotel Kent Town | 43m | 14 Levels | Mixed Use

Doesn't look too bad. Is the current hotel building staying and being incorporated into the design?

[COM] Re: GPO Exchange | 85m | 22 Levels | Office

Just went into the GPO and asked when they are closing - end of next week I was told. If anyone wants photos of the inside, best go in now and take some. Just ask the staff first 8)

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

Not sure if this has been posted previously but found a different website that relates to Lot Fourteen - https://www.futureadl.com.au/1/4/lot-fourteen

It has some interesting if not outdated renders that appear to still include the Dental School which is being demolished as we speak

[U/C] Re: WEST (Football Park) | Developments & News

I'm all for a new library but I am hoping it has a decent Local History section like the Port Adelaide library and almost every other metro library I have visited. Charles Sturt Council has very limited local history information on their website also so a good local history room / study area would b...

[U/C] Re: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | 55m | 12 Levels | Hotel

I've often thought that the original city plan for Adelaide turned its back on the river and we still have buildings and structures that basically separate us from the river. The ASER project did nothing to improve this situation either. Buildings cafes and other structures as mentioned to cover up ...

[SWP] Re: SAHMRI Stage 2

Noticed on the train this morning there is a blue shade type screen erected on the northern side of the building and a large skip bin out the front of the former railways control building. I assume internal demolition has started.

[SWP] Re: SAHMRI Stage 2

IMO it would have been really neat if SAHMRI was built as one big massive iconic building instead of 2 smaller buildings. Could have been a really nice landmark.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Speaking of the old Balfours shop in the mall, I noticed that they have taken down the original Balfours sign that was covered by the factory logo. I really hope that it was taken down to fix it rather than it being thrown away. I've saw on one of those Urban Exploration sites that the sign was stil...

Not sure if its already been asked (or answered already) but for this one to be built what will need to be demolished first?

[PRO] Re: 3-27 Walsh Street, Thebarton | 26m | 8 Levels | Apartments

And once again we are left with a big vacant block full of weeds. I really hope that some new rules can be implemented that only allow demolition once the new build is 110% certain. Its not a good look especially when people start dumping rubbish on these vacant blocks and the temporary fence blows ...
