Re: The Dyson Airblade, why I hate it with a passion.

Hi, I've just come out of retirement to apologise to HeapsGood. He was right. In the past few years there's been several studies done and the airblade style system for drying hands just scrapes off the germs and water that is on your hands, sending it into the atmosphere. Well damn. So... Wet your h...

Re: Adelaide City Council Politics & Elections

MARK HAMILTON A.K.A. “SERGEANT FLAT TOWN” WILL DRIVE THIS CITY INTO THE GROUND!! We can’t let him and his evil army of Yuppie Robots get their special plannning powers back!! He will unleash his dark arts over all of Adelaide!! That would give him control of the fault line AND the parklands (a.k.a....

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects

Maybe: They were intended to provide a little shade from the harsh, overhead summer sun. Now that the day star has slipped lower in its arc, the flaps are not needed. Simulating the vines' lack of leaves in the winter.

I dunno, I'm not a lawyer.

Does it work on your iPhone? Says it's for desktop computers?
Nothing works on iPhone. You're trying to get past a pay wall from inside a walled garden. Good luck.

Are people seriously complaining about this building? Especially after years of beige and glass in Adelaide, then the current painted box style, this is quite different.

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport

So we already have a bus trying to be a train in the Obahn, You mean a bus successfully being superior to a trian.;) now they want buses trying to be light rail with electric long trolley buses. Buses do not reduce congestion on roads, because generally once the decision to go with a BRT instead of...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport

So the Liberals transport policy says they will not proceed with the AdeLINK tram extensions into the suburbs, but instead "A Marshall Liberal Government will investigate the use of high capacity electric buses . This would be an innovation to demonstrate that clean, quiet public transport is ...

Great pics Norman, though what the hell is going on with this?. I pass this daily and I've hardly seen any work being done. It's seem since the election work is now being done at snail pace. It's beyond ridiculous now. They do the bulk of the work overnight, then pack it all away for the day traffic.

Re: News & Discussion: Road Issues & Traffic Congestion

I enjoyed this interesting, anecdotal read on Grand Junction Road. https://indaily.com.au/opinion/2018/03/29/cod-trust-short-journey-long-road/ One of the worst pieces of writing I've ever seen on InDaily (and that includes Malcolm King's drivel). The bit around Hope Valley was so long and convolut...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

So will deregulation help Rundle Street. I always wondered if being able to open for trade during all the events that are in around Rundle Street. When are Rundle Street stores closed when they want to be open? Most trade 10 to 6 weekdays and to 5 sat, sun, public holidays. They close inside tradin...

Re: 2018 South Australian State Election

I don't understand that post rev. State government has no influence on immigration policy. Immigration policy is a Federal issue, however the state government could do things to attract or repel migrants to settle here instead of interstate. SA is about to lose one seat in the House of Representati...

More people is the key. I truely hope Mr X or the Libs can actually pull off the turn around in our popukation growth.

That will be tough.
What policies have they revealed that will attempt to achieve this?

Re: 2018 South Australian State Election

Food SA, the sector’s peak body, will receive an additional $1.25 million in the next three years to drive its programs to increase food production in South Australia and national and international sales. So they are paying for a few years' marketing budget on an existing industry? That's not reall...
