The post for the stop sign was mounted in a 44-gallon drum of dirt, or maybe concrete, and Regency Road had no kerb along the northern side. You had to use Days Road to get to Grand Junction Road. Christ, what century was t...

this hotel and apartments could well be a bit of a game changer for Currie street
And I'm hoping for that end of Hindley as well as Light Square to get a little bit "activated" by it too :) Means a lot of people in that end of town after hours that wouldn't have been there otherwise

So excited to see this one finished, amazing what a unique (not box) shape can do for a building.

It also appears way way taller than what it actually is imo

I agree - I wonder if this is because of the concave form on that side?

The recycled brick look is one recent architectural trend I can really get on board with - I think they look great from the street level and really give a "human-scale" touch to buildings that could have otherwise been monolithic and alienating.

"Choxit" - last chocolate place to close on Rundle St East. This seems like a strange decision when there are high-rises going up or proposed all around the East End?

Ah scratch that question - page 16 shows the "full height glazing" in the floor plan. That should look quite good Yes the floor to ceiling windows make this a winning design whether they change the cladding on the facades or not. Cheers Considering how narrow the windows are, and the rati...

Isn't the southern elevation facing the Ibis tower anyway? So who will really see it?
It is much taller than the adjacent building though, so it surely would be visible?
