[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment Thread - Now Includes Poll!
RAW: Socceroos Crowd Farce So here it was. The show piece clash that would prove once and for all that Adelaide Oval needs to be made into a stadium to hold 50,000. For the first time in seven years, international soccer was back in town. The Socceroos, ‘fresh from their triumph against the world b...

That would mean agreement from upper and lower house. Any guesses as to how that might go? I can't call it.

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread
Can anyone shed any light on the legal status etc of the Stadium Management Authority? It sounds like a de facto branch of the govt and I'm worried its something of a smoke screen to facilitate moving more money towards the project. I want to know if it can borrow money or accumulate debt, and who w...

[U/C] Re: APP: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed
IMO SJ's post was very focused. The problem is that others' often aren't, sometimes out of lack of knowledge or understanding of the true facts, but at other times a blatant attempt at revisionism. So if a post pops up that needs a bit of clarification somebody'll jump in. I thought that ws what thi...

[U/C] Re: APP: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed
Oh and btw, the big general car park entrance for shoppers & casual parkers is in Tynte St - opposite Fellinni's. The Archer St entrance is much smaller and only for residents' parking. That's assuming the "Major Project" plan is still valid. The boutique hotel suggestion is a new one ...

Sorry "jk" but you're just talking more myths. Have you actually read the dozens of submissions against this devt? You might be obsessed by SUVs & 4WDs but nobody else was. The arguments against were a bit more informed, intelligent and vision-riented than that. It might come as a surp...

[U/C] Re: APP: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed
It's not the ACC's Development Plan. Check the provenance. It's all controlled by the SA Development Act (1993). It's pointless to keep blaming the ACC. Its hands are often tied leading to the frustration Stumpjumper so articulately highlights. Whichever side we're on in this debate we shd be able t...

Yes. And I'm wondering when the "boutique hotel" idea happened. Dont remember that in the plans & its not mentioned on the Makris web-site. It's all a bit rubbery.

Re: City's new festive hub planned
Anyone ready to bet on the next Rann media release hinting that "because of the GFC" and the scarcity of loan funds the new hospital (and any festive hub) just might have to be put off for a while?

Sorry rev, but you're really going to have to accept the facts & get over it. Stumpjumper's said it all in his recent excellent posts. The facts and truth speak for themselves & no amount of childish name-calling of people just because they dont agree with you, or revisionist nonsense will c...

[U/C] Re: #Proposed: 88 O'Connell St (Le Cornu Site) - 6 lvls
[quote="adam73837"] What if everyone who wants this proposal to go ahead signs a petition OR seperately e-mail the ACC and give them their opinion on the project and then question what the reasons for not wanting it to go ahead are. By doing it seperately, the ACC will be able to realise j...
