Re: SA Economy

So National Accounts data got released yesterday and let's just say things aren't great. Annualised GDP growth rate was 1.4% and SA's final demand was -0.2%. The ABS said: South Australia "South Australia's state final demand decreased 0.2% for the quarter. Weakness in non-dwelling construction...

Re: SA Economy

https://indaily.com.au/news/2019/07/18/sa-unemployment-rate-rises-again/ Unemployment up to 5.9% seasonally adjusted. It's worth pointing out that nationally the total labour force underutilisation rate (unemployment + hidden unemployment + underemployment) is actually 13.6%. In the 15 - 19 year ol...

I think it might be a filter for the headlights of cars travelling along grand junction road, hence the colours.

[COM] Re: U/C: SAHMRI | $200m

This is already my favourite development by far, building SA's research capacity is fantastic and what that could do for a city is potentially very exciting. So please don't tease about a SAHMRI 2 and then not provide any further info! I looked on the website and didn't find much about it but I did ...

[COM] Re: SWP: 50 Flinders St | 63m | 15lvls | Office

I'm glad this is going, I used to work there and that place was a rabbit warren. It makes no sense for the credit union to have staff spread over this building, optus house and light square as well. Rationalisation of it's office space is a good idea, the only thing is when they do consolidate that'...

I just got back from Melbourne and spent a bit of time in the Crown and it got me thinking. Does anybody know what that cost back in the day? I'm just trying to get a reference point for what $300 mil could get us given the article mentions a hotel in conjunction with the casino like the crown.

I don't know if your last comment is fair actually, Western Sydney attract larger crowds and they're definitely doing better than their AFL counterparts. Also I was looking on google and I think Melbourne Victory out performs Port Power also on the ye olde attendance'o'meter. I haven't bothered to ...

Re: #Official Mining Thread

In light of the cancellation of Olympic Dam, I thought that this was worth sharing, it's from Shane Oliver who's the head economist for AMP capital (sorry about the branding). I like that he's done this one as there's a bit of talk in the media about the end of the mining boom.

ADELAIDE ON THE CUSP

And I'd include the airport redevelopment and car park in that list too, particularly given AAL have indicated further development of terminal 1 to cater for increasing demand.
