[PRO] Re: [PRO] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection

There are issues with the Liberal version regardless of whether lanes are widened, and that you don't need to be an engineer to understand, e.g. turning right on to Springbank from Goodwood Road will still not allow all of the traffic that wants to get around to get around, even with two lanes (its...

[PRO] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection

Do any of the people who " know " that the current proposal is wrong, inadequate or not as good as the previous version actually have any qualifications in traffic engineering, or are you all as ignorant as I am? i think the general issues comes down to why leave the dog leg there at all. If you ar...

I don't know why our state government doesn't just ditch the Indigenous gallery/museum and opt for the modern art gallery instead. NT has more claim over such a gallery than we do, a larger indigenous population for one. Secondly, if the state government are charging ahead because they think the id...

Says $61m on the Govt website for the Cross Roads part.

Still no detail as to why.

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic

I would rather see the $200m go towards much needed level crossing removals. The two intersections earmarked for upgrades are nowhere near as high priority as removing either the Park Terrace, Salisbury or Cross/Marion Roads tram crossing. I'm sure the 60,000 cars that use the intersection probably...

Not what most here would have been hoping for. Lets hope those artist impressions are miles off. Those renders are placeholder images, the same ones used during the election. Saw on Twitter that there had been a call for designs to think big, or words to that effect. I assume its not another compet...

I don't know why the occupation has blown out to three weeks, but the Advertiser is right to criticise it. 'Twas originally planned to be much less time, though I can't remember exactly how much less. Most of the excavations and retaining walls are already done — there's only a little bit at the en...

Looking forward to the Marshall government forwarding another $40m of taxpayer money to the SMA to build a multistory car park across the road shortly before they cancel the footy express, in a totally unrelated move You really didn't take that polling result well did you [emoji1787][emoji1787][emo...

Re: 2019 Footy Express

Glad to see they were finally able to smack some sense into the hapless transport minister, you'd have thought they'd at least have the sense to pick an urban member who has actually caught a bus before to take that portfolio, rather than a rural member who thinks a bus and a tourist coach are the ...
