[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

Once the Northern Connector is opened it may just make towns like Two Wells and Virginia attractive places to live in. If I recall there was a new suburb proposed in Waterloo Corner a while ago, it was west of the Heaslip Road level crossing. Ideally, these places shouldn't be promoted as satellite...

Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use

This site would be great for an OTR. Nah, South Australia doesn't need any more dodgy servos. South Australian, family-owned businesses are "good" in some contexts. We seem to like buying food and wine from them, why don't "we" like buying our fuel from them? I was thinking about this the other day...

It's really not that bad.

The clearance is well over two metres ( those fences are usually atleast 2 metres). It looks like it is going to blend in fine with the oval.

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Service & Policy

It's forever a pipe dream with a Liberal government, but I'd love to see the benefits of public transport in Adelaide promoted - on TV, on the radio, in media in general. Let the service actually be marketed. I'm tired of us being the worst drive-to-work city in the country. Our culture in this reg...

It's pretty clear to all but the wilfully opbtuse at this point that the Labor plan was the best one, and the only reason we have the current Liberal plan is because of how badly their half measure was shot down, and this option was the only way they could move forward without having to back track ...

I’m willing to bet it’s the Libs plan that ends up being cheaper because they now don’t have to acquire and demolish all of Bedford Industries. Wasn't Bedford Industries happy to be sold, so that they could move to more appropriate facilities? I would have thought that would have been cheaper than ...

Get a grip Adelaide, South Road is not lined by the Pyramid of Giza, Parthenon, Colloseum, Machu Picchu or the Great Wall. Agreed. Sure there are some 100 year old buildings, if they are that important move them like has been done with other buildings. Otherwise, get the dozer, it's progress time.

True. But imo, we should have two indoor arenas, a larger one and a smaller one, and several outdoor courts capable of being used as part of an international tournament. These indoor arena facilities aren't used merely for tennis or basketball or netball, but concerts and other types of events. Acr...

I think it's more distressing that people actually still lap this populist policy crap up. Labor SA are a privatisation machine, this faux concern is completely transparent and it is utterly bizzare that anyone who can click their own fingers is actually falling for it. They won't cancel any contra...

I don't see the complaint about food and drink prices. It's no different to pricing at any other captive venue or event, and it should just be assumed there's some kind of premium on them. Comparisons between other stadiums on who is 10 or 20c cheaper/dearer for a pint and some hot chips is dumb, a...

They need to buy another chemist for the license.

Are we aware of any pharmacies closing down in the mall?

I would be curious to see the hotels financial modelling and what their profit forecasts are based upon? Quick scenario to consider: 39 event days at Oval per annum ( 22 AFL, 1 SANFL, 15 Cricket, 1 concert) On event days they would be getting a room rate of $300 per room. $300 x 138 rooms = $41,400...

A 26 tonne load limit to be imposed on the King William Rd bridge, with significant repairs needed within the next decade. I guess this makes a tramline into North Adelaide contingent on the bridge being repaired first. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-09-04/king-william-road-adelaide-bridge-might-...
