Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

It's probably still about 10 years away, but my money would be on thailand as being the next international
destination for Adelaide.

Will there be a sensational adelaide catch up to celebrate this topping out ? In my early 40's now, I was only a kid when Westpac house went up. I can barely remember it. If it takes another 33 years for us to get another new tallest then many of us won't see it happen. It's taken a long time for th...

My mail is that this will be topping out next week. If this is true then we're only been waiting 35 years for this week
to come lol. Old mate will be happy. He's been waiting a while.

Could not agree with you more re location. Some of those tired buildings in the NW corner have been empty for years, including the bowling alley and several office buildings. Imagination is not a strong point in these decisions. We never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. The old bowling a...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Any new route would be welcome, it might even bring some potential new tourism to our market. India is one of the fastest growing countries in the world, and a good proportion of the people are becoming more wealthy. Indian people are becoming more wealthy ? It's one of the poorest countries in the...

Yes it was a pity Apollo Square was never built in 1970 .It would have been Adelaide's first 40 story office building (taller then any of the current proposed tall buildings). it was to be located at 60 king William st where that fake old building is at the entrance to city cross. It's a pretty sad...

Fiji Airways withdrew as well as Air Asia. Bankgok is the world most visited city and we don't have a direct flight there. China southern were very slow indeed to start here in Adelaide. Adelaide airport have been talking about a direct flight to the US for years but the american airlines want nothi...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Adelaide airport pty ltd and the state government must be disappointed with the lack of interest from international airlines. If you look at how many international airlines there are flying to Perth it really is embarrassing how Adelaide has struggled in this area in recent times. Air Asia pulled ou...

You do have to wonder who is running the maintinance department at DPTI... Or who has input into the approval of trees and plantings across major infrastructure projects. With NRAH, I was surprised that they put so many plants into the garden beds. They put in three times as many plants than what w...

It’s a shame it’s not another 10 levels.
Not in my backyard.

Taller buildings should be in the CBD, not on the river torrens. Have a look at how Brisbane has been ruined
by building massive buildings on the riverfront. It looks hideous.
