Re: News & Developments: Mawson Lakes

I hope it happens, Mawson Lakes has always been void of vibrancy. A perennial challenge of the suburb has been providing enough entertainment/reason to keep people on site.

30 minute delays today for trains coming into Adelaide due to a signalling issue. Not been a good run for trains lately and those using them.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I'm not sure if the rest of the Belair line could be converted to tram use, or if there are safety rules about putting light rail in the same corridor next to heavy freight rail. ho...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

This is from Labor's Integrated Transport and Land Use Plan.

Spotto, your Red route has the correct entry. The gap between the University of Adelaide and UniSA medical buildings on North Terrace is indeed reserved for a future underground railway entrance.

We can only hope - it's about time justice was served for their dirty bogus traineeship underpayment tactic.

Re: News & Discussion: Other Transport Projects

Concept plans for an upgrade of the intersection of Port Road/Cheltenham Parade-West Lakes Boulevard have been released. Some welcome improvements, but the bigger issues remain. https://i.imgur.com/6Bs6HXi.jpg There's stupidly still that little middle bit right in the centre. The Port Road medians s...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

North Adelaide station is close to Bowden, Brompton, the Parklands, The Gov, the Entertainment Centre, golf courses, Hindmarsh Stadium and more. It just needs a 21st-century upgrade, along with removal/relocation of the ARTC line, which is a huge barrier to station use and access.

Re: John Martins Book

Hi all, Over the years I have seen some great threads on John Martins, Myer Centre and the old (more memorable) David Jones on this forum! Last year I decided to write a book on John Martins - I couldn't accept that one day the wonderful memories of Johnnies would fade forever. So far I've had abou...
