Embarrassing attitude by Council toward this. No case to answer.

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

ive been told in the industry that richmond rd from anzac highway to south rd is getting an expansion, has that design been released yet? I made a mock-up of this intersection based on plans, but can't find it. It should be in this thread somewhere. Basically land to the north-west of the intersect...

Re: Push For Public Transport To Be Free In Australia

Not this again. "Free" PT isn't actually Free, is it, because somebody (the taxpayer) still has to pay for it. While it's a pretty blunt stick to use, charging for PT use is one of the few levers available to balance supply and demand, especially during peak periods where there's a limit ...

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic

I've always thought it's dodgy having unsignalled entrances/exits to Harbour Town on an 80km/h road. It's very difficult to pull out safely here when traffic is heavy and I've seen people taken unnecessary risks on many an occasion. It's a 2km stretch with a number of turn offs/intersections (and l...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

With the revised extent of the cut and cover portion of the tunnel that was announced a few months ago, there are a few businesses still operating in buildings that will be demolished. The project maps seem to indicate that the OTR is the last one that needs to go, although I've also heard that the...

Re: Allow high density building in the South

The government keeps approving developments in the southern neighbourhoods, such as Christies Beach, Seaford, Aldinga. But all those developments are houses, and none of them add density, which is essential for a vibrant area. Seaford has the potential to become a satellite city but it needs to bec...

A government spokesperson responded: “The State Government is not currently investigating a rail link between Adelaide Airport and the city, and has no plans to do so.”

Update for Grenfell St as at 6/1/2024 showing recent work on new upper levels . Judging from the picture in this link (which is paywalled so I can't read it), the RAA will be moving into this building: https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/subscribe/news/1/?sourceCode=AAWEB_WRE170_MG_a&dest=https%3A%2...

I visited briefly on ANZAC Day about lunchtime and it was busy then - dodgems, arcade and bowling. Haven't ventured into Hijinx yet.
