Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Last week, Off Ya Tree on Hindley Street closed its doors without warning after 50 Years. https://www.reddit.com/r/Adelaide/comments/1c0dgk2/off_ya_tree_on_hindley_street_closing_down_today/ On the thread: Former manager here, hi! I stepped down last week to go to a new job and thank goodness I did...

Positively, I'm not confident this will eventuate. The sentiment is too strong.
It is politically dangerous too, especially with the Malinauskas Government wanting to be seen to be supporting the live music industry.

Agree, great outcome. Hoping for a renewal of the (old) underlying facade on Gawler Street.Mpol02 wrote:City x looks great.

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
Agree completely with all suggestions. Love the idea of new/expanded/more gardens, coordinated tree plantings and improvements to amenity. I do have a basic plan for a new/enhanced cycling route with grade separations across all roads. This would be incredible. 2036 is a great opportunity to realise...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Demolition for the Marion/Cross Road overpasses is continuing, with the old service station on the corner of Marion/Cross being knocked down this afternoon. A number of houses to the North of the tram between Marion/Cross have been fenced off Why would that site need demolishing ? Dilapidated eyeso...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
I hope Gather Round in Lyndoch helps to make an issue of rail infrastructure in SA. This could form some important commentary if it's kept in the public conscience, and could time well for the next State Election if there is enough momentum. Agreed. Amidst all the tall promises of rail to Mount Bar...

Re height / not mentioned to be the tallest; This will stand at 149m, while the proposed Freemasons tower will stand at 183m anyway. Obviously that depends on if / when either are built and in what final form anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Inasmuch as the Keystone Tower is counting on A...

With a quick refresh, some 3000/3100s or hybrids could run there from the CBD - or as a shuttle between Gawler Central and Lyndoch. A temporary station could be constructed.

[COM] Re: [COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million
What do we, the public, as owners of the land, get out of this deal? We've chipped in $220 million to pretty the plaza and prime rents for Walker in now two overheight towers on public land. Do we get reimbursed? Will Walker contribute to a concert hall or upgrade to Festival Centre? What's our ROI...

Really hoping this isn't the case.
I wonder if part of this project was contingent on a new tram depot, perhaps in Hindmarsh as rumoured.
