[COM] Re: Armada Arndale (Redevelopment) | $200m
The centre has just completed its first major revamp in at least 20 years! It hardly seems likely there's about to be another anytime soon. It's not needed either due to the proximity of Westfield West Lakes. Agreed. The only attention this centre might receive in the near future is closure and dem...

The track and guide system in Elon Musk's new tunnel looks familiar. https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/motoring/elon-musk-shows-off-traffic-curing-tunnel-prototype-at-boring-company-event/news-story/1430108a9449acb562262b74efdc5129 https://cdn.newsapi.com.au/image/v1/941990b38e65092b035261d3a7ac3d54?wi...

I imagine it would go this route along Golden Grove Road.

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
Is Golden Grove Road heavily congested during peak hour? I don't go there often. If not, I don't see the need to build dedicated bus infrastructure so far out of the CBD. It's better to spend the money on bus lanes on other routes. It gets busy, but it doesn't really slow down. It would make more s...

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)
The TTP extension blew me away when I first saw it, very keen now for them to hurry up and start the 2nd stage of it ie the retail expansion. Seems like a perfect time now that half of the old Tea Tree Plus is empty, hopefully after Christmas it might finally get underway. The plans I have seen, st...

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)
Didn't they say they were planning some high density residential in the modbury area a couple of years ago? Surely they can knock down TT+ and build some solid highrise residential there. Kind of like Westfield Hurtsville. It's not in anybody's backyard, it's accessible to all facilities and it's a...

I went there today for the first time since the redevelopment.
Wow, it's awesome. They even have live music.
The Lux cinema I think is going to be a regular for us.
Now to make my way through each of the restaurants, 1 down, many to go.

They have cut down a number of trees and are clearing the land today.
Edit: Portable buildings set up on the land now.

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
In Sydney I noticed that to spare themselves converting bitumen to concrete roads entirely, they'd simply turned the outer lane for a lot of their major roads into concrete surfaced bus lanes, the same could be done here. However I feel as though there is intent behind the State Government and ACC ...

No doubt Primo have their place in the North East, but they're going to stand out like the proverbial in among the restaurants in the new precinct. When people have the choice of the likes of TGI Friday's, Bangkok Boulevard, or Primo, you know who's going to be the last preference every day of the ...

[SWP] Re: SAHMRI Stage 2
I do think Adelaide should be one of those destinations - but for a $200M facility where the proton beam (in a massive bunker under it) will cost probably best part of $100M of that sum, with expected "savings" of $2M per year - doesn't seem the best use of limited funds. I'm trying to say that we ...

Re: News & Developments: Elizabeth & Salisbury
I wonder why Aldi is looking at going here rather than Parabanks. ALDI wants to build a new $6.8m supermarket and shopping centre in the heart of Salisbury. An application to build the shops — on Park Tce — has been lodged with the State Commission Assessment Panel. A large home and two trees at the...
