Re: Gold Coast new tallies

I was in the GC last week. The amount of development is crazy. Everywhere I went along the whole coast was construction sites. The tram is being extended south. Within Surfers there was one area where there were 3 buildings going up within meters of each other. Then there were 3 or 4 vacant lots adv...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Concordia is a good location as long as they put in the rail infrastructure. They also need a line out to Roseworthy, but I don't see it happening. They also need to make sure Concordia has a direct link to the Northern Expressway rather than going through Gawler. While I wouldn't want to live out t...

Nandos now open at TTP. Joining the recent Rebel relocation to the main centre, T2, Kosso Korean BBQ in the former Chinese restaurant, and Chao Chow Hot Pot next to McDonald's. Myer also seem to be aligning with Westfield and doing renovations also inside their store. Think the centre should actual...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

The call centre is closing though, so there's a fair chunk of traffic that is going to cease. I have heard a few people over the years say the call centre is closing, but where is this detail? All I can see is they are increasing hiring. Even on Seek at the moment they have lots of jobs listed for ...

Subway is gone. Schnitz is gone, opening in its place is Nandos. I have heard from a few different people rumour that Myer is leaving the ground floor. One person said JB is moving into the ground floor, another person said Foodland is another said both JB and FoodLand are taking half the space eac...

Given the state of retail, one would assume the extension is off again. :wallbash:

[COM] Re: Armada Arndale (Redevelopment) | $200m

The centre has just completed its first major revamp in at least 20 years! It hardly seems likely there's about to be another anytime soon. It's not needed either due to the proximity of Westfield West Lakes. Agreed. The only attention this centre might receive in the near future is closure and dem...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

Is Golden Grove Road heavily congested during peak hour? I don't go there often. If not, I don't see the need to build dedicated bus infrastructure so far out of the CBD. It's better to spend the money on bus lanes on other routes. It gets busy, but it doesn't really slow down. It would make more s...

The TTP extension blew me away when I first saw it, very keen now for them to hurry up and start the 2nd stage of it ie the retail expansion. Seems like a perfect time now that half of the old Tea Tree Plus is empty, hopefully after Christmas it might finally get underway. The plans I have seen, st...

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

Didn't they say they were planning some high density residential in the modbury area a couple of years ago? Surely they can knock down TT+ and build some solid highrise residential there. Kind of like Westfield Hurtsville. It's not in anybody's backyard, it's accessible to all facilities and it's a...
