I hope it's still 153 metres.
My impression is it will be around the 105~115 metres. If someone has the measurements of the block we could do an approximation. Its footprint could be similar to the Sofitel in Currie Street. The 250 rooms is also a clue. Put your thinking hats on.

Curious why you think Singapore is a much better stopover? I don't necessarily disagree, but I don’t think the difference is really substantial (unless you talk about stopovers in terms of multi-day leave the airport ones) Not the right place to discuss this as we'll go off track. In short I mean a...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

A downgrade by Emirates to cut costs in the face of increased and renewed competition? Possible. Qatar is the airline that has cut into Emirates domination of the Adelaide-Middle East-Europe flights. Also Singapore Airlines has slowly regained lost patronage. I think a few people, not a lot, are st...

As for glass, I hope it's manufactured in Australia and not a cheap Chinese import.

From Advertiser article today. CEG has announced that a Chinese hotel group has expressed a strong interest in the U2 site.
Hope they'll either build on what is already there and add several more floors or demolish and erect a 120 metere tower!

We've been seeing a B777-200 regularly for a while now. It has substituted the B787-9 as explained by Stefan.

Again, the mostly unused, big enough, and perfectly sited position on the riverbank and next to public transport between the railyard and the river west of Morphett st, is the perfect spot.
True, one of several other options.

Great find! A comment on the ’Tiser website suggested they bowl over the Adelaide Aquatic centre and build it there. Probably too away even though they could extend the tram down O’Connell St to there. However it had me thinking... as they want to combine a stadium, an arena etc they may as well th...
