[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

[...] Equally, seems a shame to lose the wetland and garden on recently established for patient, worker and visitor wellness. I don't want to bring up old arguments but, if you wanted a garden then the nRAH should've been built in stages where it originally was, next to the Botanical Gardens. The b...

^^ And those cranes used on the State Bank were two Favcos! So even taller to the tip. So technically that's in the vicinity of maximum height you can build west of King William. Wouldn't it be nice.

[U/C] Re: GPO Exchange | 85m | 22 Levels | Office

It’s not bad and looks pretty decent in person but again, I lament the missed opportunity of what could have been. I don't see how this is a missed opportunity when it has turned out better than half of the buildings that are going up in Adelaide at the moment. Should it have been taller? Now we aw...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

You can read the rest of the report here: https://www.bitre.gov.au/publications/ongoing/files/International_airline_activity_CY2018.pdf Norman , thanks for posting the report year ending 2018. Would be great to have the individual airlines load factors for Adelaide. Even better would be to have the...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Don't have the load factors in and out of Adelaide. That's something AAL or the individual airlines would be able to supply. Here are the (total) load factors Australia-wide for each airline. Still makes interesting reading. https://i.postimg.cc/d14589C5/International-airline-activity-2019-03-Page-1...

[APP] Re: 64 Currie Street | 92m | 25 Levels | QT Hotel/Office

This development already said it will include a new laneway between Currie and Schrader. I’m sure I also read that they would consider a new laneway through to Leigh Street if the possibility came up. I wonder if that might be explored now with the sad news about Rigoni’s closing? I’m assuming this...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

About time we've come back to what this thread is all about, the Adelaide Airport and Airlines. If you guys want to rave on about Globelink etc., do it under another topic.

Cheers

P.S. Good pic rubberman considering.

I agree with Marshall cutting the funding to the fashion and motorsport festivals. Neither of them are bring in toursists from interstate. If they're not bring tourists in then why should the government support them ? Now I know in your one dimensional brain it doesn't mean anything as there's no d...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

There will never be regular commercial passenger flights in and out of a military base. Especially not in this day and age with terrorism as a major security concern. Actually there are regular commercial flights out of at least three RAAF bases: RAAF Base Townsville is shared with Townsville Inter...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I feel that every station between Salisbury and Adelaide would definitely benefit from relocation of the ARTC line. It forms a massive barrier to access and movement, and limits the scope for other improvements; for example, potential passing loops at major stations or platform widening. Build the ...

It may be annoying to some but as explained there are good reasons. I know a few people who've used this "loophole" to rort the system. It has to be changed. Perhaps changing it to a check-in check-out system.
