In a way it reminds me of Velasca Tower in Milan Yes, because they are both fugly You really need to be standing on a rooftop somewhere to fully appreciate its ugliness, whereas this one you can take in from the street. Now that's service! I wouldn't compare the Torre Velasca seen here... https://i...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Adelaide airport pty ltd and the state government must be disappointed with the lack of interest from international airlines. If you look at how many international airlines there are flying to Perth it really is embarrassing how Adelaide has struggled in this area in recent times. Air Asia pulled o...

Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development

Extension of 3 - 5 levels of this office building opposite the RAh is expected to be approved by the ACC next week. Looks ok, but I'm still wishing that the government will back down from building the new WCH on parklands and take over this whole site. This whole site you mention should be for medi...

Extension of 3 - 5 levels of this office building opposite the RAh is expected to be approved by the ACC next week. From a construction, structural integrity viewpoint, how do you do that ON TOP of an existing building? Note I’m not a builder or engineer. Just interested in knowing. I'm not a struc...

Thinking into the future here, but at a future time when there is less car traffic in the city, the tunnel could be two lanes bringing traffic in in the morning, and taking it out in the evening
Yikes!

To those of you that don't see eye-to-eye with rev you need to understand that he is very passionate about Adelaide and SA. He's not bagging our city or state, he's frustrated and disallusioned by those in power. I too believe that we are wasting opportunities. So at times we may go overboard. So le...

Long-term vision is a good thing, but that does not mean it needs to be acted on from the word go. Of course some projects have to be done short term. However the way I see it if you have a vision look for the long term and build what you can with the money you have. A sports arena is a good exampl...

Yes was only referring to the hotel component (in reference to the pig and the lipstick). Sorry though to clarify my comments on the bridge and cathedral - this was in reference to the context of the arrival experience at the oval, which is pretty amazing right now. The bridge and cathedral form pa...

Ho Really, what's with all of your going against the grain of late? Time has been saved by the implementation of the O-Bahn tunnel, whether they needed to spend that much to make that happen is another story but there is no denying it has saved travel time for buses. Patrick_27 , since day one I've...
