I do realise this but some aspects are still relevant - ie timetabling and frequencies etc. So you don't know the number of trams then???

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Now we are talking tram numbers and expense, does anyone know how many trams were used at the height of the original system - seems like they were everywhere. Will be some guide to the rebuilt system as well as expenses.

Re: Adelaide Oval news and events
Thanks for the info. The whole CBD must have been crazy with energy. (not like I remember when I left in 1986 - tumbleweeds drifting down a completely inactive Grenfell St on a Sat. - and with kids skateboarding on the street). NB. Eastern media was the info source I was referring to concerning SA g...

If you're about to post a comment about an EVENT at Adelaide Oval instead of DEVELOPMENT NEWS about Adelaide oval please go to the Adelaide Oval News and Events thread. This section is for development news, not event news and reviews. Thanks! :applause: My sincerest apologies Mono - I saw similar c...

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Si how many came to the Adele concert?
Had heard of another power loss in the show. SA getting a hammering in the media. Hope the power announcement at 11.00 E.S.T. covers the problems.

Can't wait to see this. With Frome St. Kudo and Echelon the skyline will be very different - esp. when developers are realising there is a market for such in Adelaide. The aim of the council to have more living in the CBD is coming despite any other plans they might have. What is the projected CBD p...

Bit disappointed about having to walk around to KWS to get to Adelaide Oval on Monday night, but at least something's going on here. Was that the cricket with the Strikers? What a huge noise level was going on. I have been watching attendances to the big bash games in all states - there were 43000 ...

I believe this one is alive and resubmitted much taller. 30+ Stories. Hopefully confirm more info soon. Next to the new Calvery Hospital should be a popular spot. Do you happen to know if there's a new design in the works or if it's the same design (only taller)? Or will we just have to wait and se...

I've said it before and i'll say it again........ this is by far my favourite proposal in the city right now. Agree 100%. I'm impressed with the renders - nothing too flashy or gaudy and IMHO will stand the test of time re style. A bit disproportionate to the local area now, but not for long. Adela...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
I have to give massive credit to the State Government for how they've gone about this next round of extensions, there's not one thing I can fault about it judging by the video fly through. Wiring to be hung from sides instead of middle poles. Tick. Utilising existing street lamps to hang wiring. Ti...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development
well said Ben. My sentiments exactly. Many people in Adelaide have no idea of these developments coming up and are rather stunned when told - breaks the old conception of a big country town in recession. :D :D Many over here however have had a marked change of perception of the place - ALL positive....

can't get used to the idea of Adelaide having a 40 storey bldg!!! V exciting though. One way or another, Telstra tower will lose it's position of tallest - a few others challenging that as well.

MUCH better!! Isn't that podium similar in height and mass to the one all the current noise is all about at Echelon. Interesting that...given the building heights allowed along KWS.

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Anyone know the attendances that occurred for the last test match? Only heard about 2 days of over 35000. BTW - really impressive how the oval has become a major catalyst to many developments in the city.
