Re: SA Economy

Why do we need to be importing people to fill skills shortages, when we have high unemployment in this country? Why isn't more being done to train people in THIS country? ...JOBS JOBS JOBS. While I totally agree with you about spending money on training people, there is another reality - a lot of A...

Re: SA Economy

Now they think by opening the flood gates and bringing in 50,000 more foreigners from the third world it will fix things. We have a skills-based and (rightly) non-discriminatory permanent migration system. Do you think we should be barring people based on where they were born (and 'third world' is ...

Re: SA Economy

Our population has been an issue for a long time. Theyve done nothing to address it. Now they think by opening the flood gates and bringing in 50,000 more foreigners from the third world it will fix things. Instead of creating jobs, new industries to keep our people here, and to draw in people from ...

Re: The Federal Politics Thread

Federal Labor will seek to extend for another 5 years the stay of Adelaide Zoo's pandas, who are due to return to China this year. The man waiting to be taking out with the trash, ScumMo, thought it was clever to slam the opposition for making the proposal while Queensland recovers from floods even...

They adopt whatever it is the general pubic are used to / have grown up with, sometimes the suburb name just doesn't have the same ring nor is what people refer to it as.

Imagine a Westfield Modbury or a Westfield Oaklands Park.
What would be so bad about Westfield Oakland?

I'm positive it was Westfield Kilkenny. Arndale is just what people called it. Although interestingly I did see an article from when Westfield sold their share in it referring to it as Westfield Arndale.
Clearly you didn't look at the above video or photos!

A. See my above post. B. The village green popped collar crowd don't go to the cricket for the cricket, they go to drink and socialize. They'll socialize and drink wherever the Village Green is. There's no room on Oval 2 anyway for a proper stadium. C. The building is heritage listed I think. Memori...

Topping out ceremony was a couple of weeks ago.
So what's the metal frame work going up :?:
It's for the roof level. The lift over run and plant room are all hidden by it. The topping out ceremony is usually for the last concrete pour.
Ah got ya now.

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

That proposal or idea for the stadium over the rail lines is stupid. The only thing positive about it is it is directly next to the train station. But the pedestrian bridge over the river nullifies that anyway as it's a short walk straight into the train station. The best option is redeveloping the ...
