Re: News & Developments: Prospect

There's a huge mountain of dirt being built at this site now, and a pit developing next to it. I wonder how deep they're going to go. Indeed! Seems like a bit of deja vu though, I remember them moving similar amounts of dirt about 10 years ago for the former Palm Grove project BC1DEBCF-7E7F-4D29-B9...

Re: Commonwealth Games in Adelaide

I sincerely hope the folly of a railyards stadium isn't the factor making the bid uneconomic. There are surely other options that aren't nearly as expensively engineered. And I have to say, I think there's a small reputation cost to not proceeding -- it'll seem like yet another pissant decision fro...

Interesting.
But it needs more then just nice words from the state. Serious money needs to be poured into schools and training.

[U/C] Re: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | 55m | 12 Levels | Hotel

Recently returned from Brisbane. The Riverside area in the picture is pulsating with life day and night, as is Southbank just around the bend. We might not like their building design but we can learn a lot about how to activate an urban riverside precinct. The casino hotel will be central to that, ...

Re: News & Developments: Prospect

I just hope that the railway station gets an upgrade too ready for the new development but I won't be holding my breath Sadly, it just won't happen, unless station upgrades are part of the $650-odd million price tag for Gawler electrification. The railway siding between the site and Islington stati...

Rev, I respect your right to disagree with me. It's you who doesn't respect anyone's right to disagree with you. Sometimes I put up arguments, sometimes I just can't be bothered. I still don't have to agree with you. As Ho Really said recently, it's okay to disagree. Get over it. I agree with rhino...

How about my fans on here actually make a coherent and strong counter argument for a change, and maybe you'll convince me that you're opinion is correct and mine is wrong? Opinions are not right or wrong. They're just opinions. You can get facts right or wrong, but when you are talking about what s...

[U/C] Re: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | 55m | 12 Levels | Hotel

Definitely should have been another 10+ levels. These pics show what a dogs breakfast this area is becoming. There's been no clear vision for this block between Morphett St Bridge, King William and Nth Tce. While (extremely) cost prohibitive in these hard economic times, and disruptive, would have ...

Rev is well known on these boards for voicing opinions, insulting anyone who disagrees, and then claiming to be a victim. It's his formula. Don't even try to deal with it. How about my fans on here actually make a coherent and strong counter argument for a change, and maybe you'll convince me that ...

Please don't disparagingly assume everyone who goes against you must be suffering from some kind of broad South Australian mindset - we can all have different opinions on different developments. For example, I'm not any South Australian type, as I've only lived in Adelaide for the last few years. I...

There's also a third, even fourth South Australian 'type'. The third is people such as Ho Really, and my self, among others, who aren't content with the mediocre results we continue to see, and want better. I mean wow, a guy whose paid to blow wind up the asses of people in his industry, praised Ad...
