[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Waiting for the Jimmy Barnes Highway... Perhaps that should be a new name for Philip Highway/Salisbury Highway/Port River Expressway - the road that links his birthplace to the Largs Pier Hotel where he performed. Only one of the list above is named for a woman. We have many more notable women to c...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

The northern expressway is technically called the Max Fatchen Northern Expressway. I wish we named more roads after prominant South Australians than just naming them after the directions they travel.

The new Motorway to Salisbury Highway offramp is currently being bitumised.
I wonder when traffic will switch to the new off ramp so the old one can be demolished?

All of the mesh has been pulled down on the new Waterloo corner road/port Wakefield road intersection so you can now see the new interchange.

Looks like it is very close to being open.

It would appear the entry portals to the tunnels with this hybrid option could be at Port Rd, Anzac Hwy and Cross Rd.
Surely there would need to be an interchange at SDB Drive for airport access?

There are signs up saying the Port River Expressway will be closed from the 11th of January until the 14th of January.

I can only assume this will be to put the road bridge over the expressway in place.

SBD, the point I was wondering about is why the say it starts at FMC.
Couldn't they say it will be dual carriageway from the CBD to Sellicks Beach?
Why stop there? Dual carriageway from Port Wakefield to Sellicks beach!

Why do people like you have to be an arsehole about it? I would love to see your property that you've worked your whole life to own, renovate and make a home be acquired below its market value for a project like this. I did not intend to come across as an arsehole. I apologise for appearing that wa...

Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

If they don't want to work at the designated work location, being Port Adelaide - perhaps they look for other work? That's what the rest of us do in the real world - deal with it. Employees "dealing with it" often means exactly that, quitting and finding other work. Is it worth moving a department ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Has everyone on this forum lost their mind? I can tell you exactly what’s going to happen with the OH line in the next 20-years - nothing! No light rail, no electrification. Just things the way they are. I bet there will be a push for more level crossing removals. I predict within twenty years ther...

Another question, Considering the issues that have been happening on the southern expressway with rock throwers, what is being done here to stop copycats?

Having driven past T2T today it looks pretty easy if someone was inclined to cause havoc.
