Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Looks like the large unit at the station entrance ramp, previously used as one large second hand goods store, is now being turned into some smaller individual units. Anyone know anything? Only that Renewal SA has been seeking expressions of interest for retail operators to overall the Railways Stat...

Laubman and Pank have closed on Gawler Place.
On the south section (next to Allans).
There may be other business at risk of going under.

Re: News & Discussion : New Restaurants, Bars & Night Clubs

Fantastic news! Restaurants have proven successful in similar buildings around the world and it's nice to have another pre show or pre game option. Most importantly, it's great to see some of the grandeur of the station concourse restored. Personally, I'd love to see the Marble Hall/waiting lobby r...

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

I just came up with an idea of how Tea Tree Plus would be merged to Tea Tree Plaza. The rearmost area (shaded in red) would be demolished (Savers will move and Cotton On will close outright) whilst the rest in the foremost part (Rebel Sport likely to move) will still continue to trade as usual durin...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

Are they actually extending the Obahn, or just painting some red lines on the road and giving buses a 5 second jump on everyone at the stop lights? For both, the roads are meant to be widened. The large spaces of land next to most parts of Golden Grove Rd have allowed such work to be carried out in...

Re: Harbour town $35m upgrade

It will be interesting what goes in its place and if Woolworths is still committed to a long-term lease for the space. If so, its options may include a Big W or a Dan Murphys? A large shopping centre would be pretty useless without a supermarket. Foodland might be better due to their lower prices a...

What's going to happen with Jasper's at the railway station now that it has been closed?
And Shunters is being gutted too.

Just Jeans Rundle Mall has closed, walked passed yesterday and there was a notice on the doors saying closed due to end of lease. Surprising cause they had no closing down sale or anything. Lights were still on in the shop as well. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190410/fd2d106105442c146364cc58b...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Don't quote me on this, but I heard a rumour from someone who works at Wooldworths that because of this new Foodland, they won't be renewing their lease in the mall at the end of this year (or next year) whenever it is up for renewal. This would fall in line with comments made about the Wooldworths...
