Poles and wires between city and Salisbury so in theory diesel train services could be run even if done in peak direction only it'll relieve buses, get northerners from and to home quicker.

There was an article in the advertiser a week or so ago stating that thanks to the state lock down, the specialist interstate resources were lost to the project and were working on projects in other states.

All bridge segments are now in place. Work continues on bridge as well as landscaping on Sturt Road.

Another span has gone up, pretty sure it's the one next to the cop shop, but I had a bad angle from South Rd so it could also have been the Sturt Rd crossing This coming weekend should be span 3, over South road northbound surface road Wouldn’t the spans be numbered in the direction of the track 🤔 ...

They also appear to have stripped the most eastern column. It looks quite fancy.

Correct. Two lanes in each direction on what I assume will become the north bound lanes except north of the mimosa terrace bridge it appears to swing across to the southbound side.

At 4:45pm the motorway was opened for southbound, northbound followed shortly after. It’s a very pretty motorway. Far nicer than T2T

My thoughts are there are some sour engineers having a whinge to there union because of York’s collapse.

140 defects is really nothing, most of them are likely to be just contractural things. Media just beating the story up.

Anyone been through Darlington lately? How the progress? Any idea when they are going to move the next bridge?
