[PRO] Re: Torrens Road Grade Separation

The Bus routes over the Park Tce crossing were only changed after the Bus Vs Train accident a few years ago. Till then most bus routes went across the crossing. The 2 major problems for the Park Tce grade separation is the grade for the Freight trains (short distance form Salisbury highway overpass)...

[PRO] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line

I'm starting to wonder if this has been quietly put to sleep 3000 Class Railcars have been seen tested on the branch line. What I do wonder is where car parking can be expanded, there is residents in the Gray Terrace area, some are in walking distance whereas some might still want to drive, park an...

[COM] Re: The Bend Motorsport Park

Would love to see some nice hills built up around the track / trees on the hills - nice spectator friendly areas to sit and watch racing with some natural shade. After attending the First V8 event at The Bend , this is one top-notch circuit. The track can easily be view from the large viewing mound...

Re: News & Discussion: Regional Transport

I have noticed references to an STC siding at Port Germein and an STC shuttle train from Port Germein to Penfield. I've found online that the siding opened in 2015, but that is newer than any Streetview of the area. Does anyone know what is there and what is carried on the shuttle or how often it r...

Now for some of the pictures. I was using an older manual lens that I haven't used in a while (well actually never, apart from when I first got the camera, but other lens is cactus so this had to do), so some may be a bit out of focus Looking South from the New Off ramp @ Beach Road https://farm6.st...

[COM] Re: U/C: Southern Expressway Duplication | $445m | 22km

I was simply referring to the bridge building, if Flaxmill was widened they would have had to do it the same way they widened Beach Road. I have no thoughts along those lines whatsoever. Beach Road has always been a nightmare of a road and I think with this induced traffic once the expressway opens...

Took a drive along the full length of the Expressway this afternoon. A few interesting things caught my eye. Retaining wall adjacent the South rd and Sturt river bridge is progressing well, and the approach ramp to the Marion Rd bridge is about half done. (Marion Rd will be closed this weekend to al...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw

Some finishing touches are still happening around the place on the Noarlunga Line. Lonsdale is getting new stairs from the platform to the overhead walkway, while the walkway is getting screens installed. The pedestrian crossing at the southern end of the Station has now been closed & fenced off.

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw

The closures are to allow the rest of the overhead poles to be erected between Mile End and Adelaide, and a few odd missing ones around wayville and the former Keswick stations.
