Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
- Council had sound modelling done on all its major events sites such as Bonython Park, Park 24 and the East Park Lands. Based on that modelling we have developed Operating Guidelines for the control of sound levels in those parks. When a major music festival is staged the Council employs an on-sit...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
Hello David, Firstly thank you for posting your council updates, very interesting reading most of the time. I noticed in the last notes there is reference to not commuting to sound wave festival next year pending a sound engineer report.... Was there an issue/ complaint from this year? And do this i...

I can't believe people are complaining about the Rolling Stones being a potential headline act. Like them or not, it will be a massive coup, they are undeniably one of the most important bands in music history, or indeed in the history of the 20th Century. You would prefer One Direction or somethin...

It doesnt matter who the headline act is, as long as it is an instantly recognisable band, and that the concert at Adelaide Oval is an Australian exclusive (one off), not part of a tour... this will then make news interstate, promoting the oval and Adelaide...

There was an interview with the now Adelaide sponsored barmy army bugler (forget his name) last night during a break in the cricket. He was wearing the new SA branding on his hat, and a giant logo on his shirt, saying 'Im going to Adelaide', or similar words. Was very noticeable marketing for both t...

Re: LA's Petersen Automotive Museum
Part of the reason the museum is located at birdwood, is so the journey through some of the best roads in the country becomes part of the experience. Its about enjoying the drive, on any given weekend there are old classic cars heading up through the twisty roads on their way up there. Great exposur...

Also, if an underpass were placed there, they could almost replicate what Paris utilises in their final stage of the Tour de France, near the Champs Elysees. (at the 32:50 mark of the video it's quite visable) http://i.imgur.com/4IeTB2o.jpg Just something really basic that runs under another road a...

I drive through this roundabout every day and it is quite clear that the issue is driver's not being aware/educated to which lane to be in. decent signage on approach would go a long way to fixing this

Everyone has a need for better health care and better education however. Not that I'm against better funding for the arts, but to say that it is just as important as Health and Education is wrong on so many levels. No they don't. Better health and eduction funding is generally aimed a certain segme...
