[COM] Re: COM: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
When you consider that our two team town has the ability to fill 45-50K seats (often when hosting an interstate team) and two lesser Vic teams can't even fill docklands most days, footy in this state really is in a good place. Yeah yeah there's always the argument that Melbourne has many events goin...

The 70 kph limit is moot, you'll never get a policeman sitting on that bend looking to catch people out. An advisory sign would have been more appropriate.

I originally called it BBQ's Galore but its actually called Bonza BBQ. It is still standing and open for business. In the sketch of the plan it remains, so it looks like its here to stay
Can anyone tell me if they are filling in the old clay pit to bring the complex back to street level?

I wouldnt worry too much about World Cup soccer, we'll be lucky if Australia hosts one within the next 30 years after the dismal failure of our last bidding campaign.

Great photos mate. I'll transfer them onto skyscrapercity. It will be interesting to see the crowds which Port Adelaide get there. 45,000 is possible if they keep winning. already put them there :D I think both clubs will regularly see crowds over 40K this season. I'm interested to see how many the...

.I had seats in the northern banking just in front of the northern mound and had a fantastic view of all three stands. It was phenomenal to see every single seat filled. The thing that blew me away the most was the noise level. With 50,000 spectators, the noise is similar to the MCG with 90,000+. Ne...

I use this once per week in both directions on a commute between business locations. Yesterday whilst heading north, it appears this has created a large bottle neck where traffic merges from the Port River expressway onto Port Wakefield Road in a northerly direction. It is a single lane merge. I'm ...

Does anyone know whether the BBQ's Galore site is staying or going? It currently still stands and is open for business, I just thought it was strange that Woolworths had perhaps not acquired this site as it disrupts part of their frontage onto South Road.

Aidan, large, high signs along elevated highways are common practice all over the world. In the form of billboards, yes. And many office blocks have corporate logos on them visible from elevated highways. But putting up signs to alert motorists on the elevated highway to the presence of a fuel stat...
