Re: News & Developments: Other Suburban Retail

Spoke with a Bunnings worker recently. The Noarlunga store will move to the Masters site permanently. No idea what is happening on the Bunnings site though.

Re: News & Developments: Other Suburban Retail

Apparently Bunnings are temporarily moving into the Masters building at Noarlunga. The current Bunnings building will be demolished and rebuilt before they eventually move back into the rebuilt store. Reported today is that Bunnings will shift and their current site will become Costco. Do we know w...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Labor really needs to bring back its plans to extend the Tram lines. A tram line loop through the city going through East Tce / Hutt / Wakefield / Grote / West Tce or Morphett would be ideal. Would service new developments being the Arcade and hotels/apartments. An extension of the line to O'Connell...

[SWP] Re: Central Market Arcade Redevelopment | 130m | 39 levels

For this new development, was there any indication of a change to the loading bay area on Grote st (outside coles), or having a new dedicated underground loading bay? Where would it be accessed from?

[SWP] Re: Central Market Arcade Redevelopment | 130m | 39 levels

Great to see it go, agree.

I do fear though that the upmarket nature of the new Arcade interior will be a bad match for the Central Market, however. I hope they get this right.

[U/C] Re: 145-159 King William Street (GPO) | 61m | 16 Levels | Hotel

Seeing plants growing out of the GPO building's neoclassical facade reminds me of those paintings of Rome during the Renaissance, when ruins like the Colosseum were overgrown with weeds, sorry-looking remnants of a bygone age. Some good looking plants off the front here might actually be a welcome ...

Are there plans to clean up and brighten the old facade? And that laneway would be a sweet spot for small cafes and bars, even high end brands in boutique stores. I'm wondering also, will this be a mixed use path for car traffic as well? Not sure if on site parking exists, or perhaps they will have...

Its really coming along but I am nervous about what the inside the old GPO looks like especially the main hall part under the dome. Anyone know what it currently looks like and what the...
