Re: Rebranding of Adelaide Metro

I prefer something simple and easy to understand like:

Adelaide Public Transport (Metro Area)
South Australia Regional Public Transport (Rural)

Or

South Australian Transport Authority (SATA)

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects

Replace the lifts, they are so old and digusting. The carpark areas could do with a touch of paint and replacement of lighting.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Wouldn't mind seeing a different stopping pattern trialed on the Gawler Line.

1) Adelaide, express to Mawson Lakes, then all stops to Gawler Central. Adelaide, all stops to Mawson Lakes then Parafield, Salisbury, Elizabeth, Smithfield, Gawler.

Re: News & Discussion: Regional Transport

If the train ran from Adelaide it'll need to be squeezed in with suburban trains, on weekdays during the day there is minimum 4 trains per hour. In peak there is already a tight window for trains between Gawler and Gawler Central. I think cost wise it'll be cheaper to run a bus from Gawler Station t...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

According to DPTI website The electrification of Gawler Line is due in late 2020, isn't that slow compared to when poles and wires went up on Seaford and Tonsley Lines. And then we aren't due to have the first electric set until mid 2021. Sounds like the current State Government is dragging it out ...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

If Sealink did get to run the trams they could run the 248 as a feeder between Marion Centre and Plympton Tram Stop. Kilometres saved by not running 248s between Plympton Tram Stop and City could be used elsewhere to run short running of the 100 between Plympton and Arndale or between Plympton and G...

[COM] Re: Victoria Square Upgrade - $24m

I prefer the central roadway in its former setup as it meant pedestrians could cross within the square at 3 points, also buses actually stopping in the actual central roadway meant people could transfer from bus to tram or get off in the actual square rather than set down on the edge of it.

[COM] Re: Victoria Square Upgrade - $24m

A handful of changes I'd like to see for Victoria Square area include: 1) Access to central roadway for buses only. Existing bus lane in central part returned to green space. 2) Move 222-229 bus terminus to F1 Wakefield Street or on south side of Wakefield Street. Replace south east roadway with gre...
