Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

And it looks like with the proposed new simplified bus numbering system the practice of Adelaide buses changing their numbers as they enter the CBD will be abandoned in favour of one number for the entire route......from end to end. And I have got to say....finally. Hopefully the new numbering syst...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Lots of routes will disappear. Other routes will be dramatically changed. Also quite a few through routing changes. Total new Route numbers for majority of routes. The 44x, 45x and 46x routes sound fairly much as they are now. Doesn't seem to be a significant change in the coverage area for new dev...

Speed limits on the Northern Connector will be lifted to 110km/h from about 11am tomorrow.
some of the electric speed limit signs had 110 posted today on my drive home.

Re: News & Developments: Elizabeth & Salisbury

The site on Womma Road (just east of Stebonheath Road, south side) that had an aluminium and steel place on it was flattened a few weeks ago. A new concrete slab building is going up, and large underground tanks being installed today, so I assume it is another new fuel outlet. There are no signs to...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Why are they only planning this now!! Seems very chaotic, it' s no surprise that this section was to form part of a continuous motorway. The previous government had a hand-wavy delivery plan that included cut-and-cover short tunnels near Henley Beach Road and Sir Donald Bradman Drive, and an elevat...

I have noticed that trucks tend to drive in middle lane not the left lane in between Southern Interchange and Northern Expressway, in some parts the left lane on the northbound side appears to slope a bit like a speedway. The Bolivar interchange just seems badly designed.

(rev) Compulsory acquisition, the same thing they're doing for the NS Motorway. From Perkins Drve/Bedford street you bring it down behind the businesses on Bower Cres and across to Russel st. Buy up the properties on either side and widen it. That was half of my pie in the sky fantasy idea on the o...

Not sure if related but Womma Road has roadworks in between Andrews Road and Argent Road, new gutters going in. Drainage works alongside Heaslip Road by Bolivar railway crossing too

McIntyre Road has always had significant problems. It gets cut back and new bitumen every few years to relevel it. The same work will likely be due again by 2023. Clearly the road has structural problems but no one has done better than continued patch work to relevel. I'm not sure if connected or n...

How about extending Perkins Drive (aka eastern Bypass) to the southern end of Commercial Road?
How do you plan to do that? Isn't there businesses on western side of viaduct ramp?
