Re: News & Discussion: Buses

Article from In Daily discussing the declining state of the surface roads along Grenfell/Currie Streets, especially as more O-Bahn will be using the corridor from December 17. Hundreds more O-Bahn buses to hit "deteriorating" Grenfell St https://indaily.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Buses_Grenf...

Re: News & Discussion: Metropolitan Developments

Having lived there I would say that Jetty Rd/Glenelg has two very distinct almost opposing demographics. If you go there in winter it is almost a ghost town and it is the regulars/locals that keep the place going esp. the Mon- Fri 9am-5pm trade. I think the "rockstar carpark" catch-phrase is a bein...

Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

Driving down South Road at any time during the day, I would say 70%+ of vehicles are private use. So you want to push these 70% into one lane, buses, which south of Anzac is only a few 7xx routes, not too sure of routes beyond, so maybe 30 buses per hour at most, and a number of taxis in the other ...

Public transport priorities for Adelaide

Grade seperated roads is all that is needed either underneath or over the top of current South Road with simple entra...

A new video for Darlington has been released! https://youtu.be/XDtlre7V6ZE Will Transit Link routes bypass the Bedford Park Bus Station because it doesn't look like there is any location south of the current stop to get onto to the Southern Expressway or will they have a stop in Flinders Medical Ce...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Spent yesterday and the day before that in Sydney. Since last being there in July, I'm surprised at how slow the work on the George Street tram is. I get it's a bigger and more difficult job, but the lack of progress visible to a pedestrian like me was alarming. It's a bigger and more difficult job...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

There are pdf files online showing the future plans including the City Loop route. Perhaps within the next 10 years we will have trams going to more suburbs, a tram every few minutes within the City and quick easy seamless transfers. http://www.dpti.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/279809/AdeL...

According to this week's Foodland Catalogue the Mawson Lakes Store will open on Monday 27th November 2017 :D :) As I found out today this was an error because I visited the shopping centre today to find out the parking gates have not yet been turned on, the travellator has not been turned on and the...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

There are around 12 trams required to do West End to Glenelg route. At least a handful required to do Hindmarsh to Botanic Gardens route. In Melbourne its common to change trams, should be common here too. Tough! There are pdf files online showing the future plans including the City Loop route. Perh...
