Re: News & Discussion: Trams

All trams have been stopped in the city. What happened? While on one of the stuck trams, I overheard a message to the driver about an ambulance on the track about to clear soon. I suspect someone had a medical issue on one of the other trams. I know this forum doesn't like to hear this, but this is...

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

since the opening a couple of months ago, regularly walk through the new Victoria Park wetlands. Its brilliant however over the last week they have let so much of the water flow out that its exposing the mud and not looking very good. After the recent rains filled it to overflowing capacity, it look...

[VIS] Re: Passenger Trains to Mount Barker

oh FFS Pefe I am so fed up with your negativity. Everything to do with cars and new roads approve at billions (then spend billions in a few more years for a extra lane) but as soon as someone mentions a train, oooooh noo there is some curves in the tracks stop it. Its so typical conservative Adelaid...

Re: News & Developments: Bowden TOD

Something needs to be announced soon (anywhere in Bowden). The billboard for the Tapestry townhouses has just been updated to say Sold Out, which means there is nothing available off the plan at the moment (the only option is E78 further up Gibson St, which is outside the project area). yeah this i...

Re: SA State Election 2022

My reasons: I live in the inner suburbs I prefer to take public transport as much as possible The possibility of hopping on a tram in Hindmarsh and heading to Norwood, North Adelaide, Prospect, Hutt Street, Gouger Street etc without having to worry about driving and parking is very appealing to me ...

Re: News & Developments: Bowden TOD

I fly in and out of Adelaide on a weekly basis, have done for close to nine years now. I get a birds eye view of Bowden, and it hardly seems like a resounding success. Seems to be taking a long time to fill in that parcel of land. Still looks half finished after all those years, so I don't see how ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

FYI the overhead wires aren't even up around North Adelaide station (as from 2 days ago), so there won't be much testing of electric trains going on

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

In the Torrens Road bridge case there is one sole reason why the line won't be closed during construction - the interstate freight line runs through it so this is of importance to keep open. If this line wasn't there and it was just only metro trains that ran through it, the line would be closed for...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I was only a kid at the time, but I remember Bridgewater trains taking just under an hour. They were obviously all Red hens and virtually all ran express to Belair (stopping only at Blackwood). FYI so much of Queensland railways are windy and indirect but it doesn't stop them from investing in train...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council

so what is the actual point of the council? The Team Adelaide creeps are purely on the council as a stepping stone into the state or fed LNP. They have no interest in our city or making it better, they are only councillors as a start to their conservative political careers. Because of their bullshit...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

ok this is getting a bit of a worry. Correct me if Im wrong but the great western line in the UK that connects London to Bristol and to Cardiff has been electrified in stages over the past 5-7 years and has probably 300km+ of tracks atleast, but I don't recall the line being closed and trains cancel...

Re: Superloop 500

haven't posted in a while, but I am not sad to see this go. Its run its course and the street closures and congestion it causes outways the economic positives. I live in the city in between Hutt St and Victoria Park for over 7 years, and while the Clipsal/Superloop never bothered me, most of the usu...
