Re: Cedar Woods Glenside
Government should complete CBD tram loop, that would be a huge stimulus for more CBD apartment demand.

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
I have written to Premier Malinauskas about using the 2036 bicentenary as the occasion to get a massive funding boost for the parklands. Let’s see what happens! Got this reply from the Premier’s office today: “Thank you for your email of 16 April 2024 to the Premier of South Australia, the Hon Pete...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
To be honest, I cannot see a business case for urban rail to Virginia and Riverlea ever stacking up, despite being quite a large potential catchment area (40,000+ people). It would be an extension of about 16-17km which you would need to double-track to join it to the existing Gawler line. This is l...

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
With SA’s bicentenary a mere 11 years away, wouldn’t it be a great legacy for future generations if we could implement a bold vision to substantially spruce up the parklands to create a truly great urban park? I’ve looked at posts on this discussion going back to 2007 (17 years ago), and the laments...

I was against a second walker tower here but now that I have seen this beauty, I take it back! This will completely transform the look of our skyline and in the most prominent of positions. Its a mini and refreshed Rialto. https://i.ibb.co/tzCLz4s/5ff662f39b17680f7d7d2d35f2604070.jpg https://i.ibb....

Also, imagine failing so hard at the planning of this project that a rail station isn't even considered as part of it. Agreed. Both a tram stop near the main entrance and a railway station to the immediate north of the Port Road bridge would ensure that the entirety of ‘BioMed City’ is easily acces...

MicBara … really impressed that you guys are trying to do something a little different with this tower rather than the standard “cram as much floor space in for least cost” development model that we usually see in Adelaide. You guys deserve every success with this proposal.

Evening everyone. Yep word is out - Westin Adelaide is in. The indaily had some old renders in there. You guys can have the work lodged for DA. MicBara … what are the contingency plans and Plan B if AMOSAH doesn’t receive government funding? You have to admit it’s a pretty big “if”. Will it be addi...

Yes to North Adelaide (a "destination" in it's own right, cafes, pubs, beautiful old homes, future apartments etc) No to Prospect Rd (just a really ordinary suburban area, a bus is more than sufficient for public transport needs along Prospect Rd) Prospect Rd is a high street approaching ...

Like the BHP building next to it, very ordinary design saved by really nice glazing.
I saw it in person last week, thought it was pretty decent and OK.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
I really think a loop which goes down Grote/Wakefield is the most logical solution. Firstly, it’s wide enough. Secondly, it provides connection to key destinations in the CBD - Central Market, Chinatown and Gouger St. It’s also useful for connecting to secondary locations such as Calvary Hospital an...
