Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Service & Policy

I don’t understand how the Torrens Road level crossing removal will cost $200m given that the land reservation already exists for the road overpass and there would be minimal disruption to both rail and road traffic? Also obvious Brighton Road will be a rail overpass. Property acquisition for a road...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

$250m surely would have to include property acquisition for any property that is affected by all three options being investigated - particularly at the River Torrens end of T2T and near interchanges at SDBR/HBR and and at Cross Roads.

Re: Flinders University - Developments & News

Very shortsighted not to allow a reserve / provision for the extension of the railway line.

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Service & Policy

They really should allow payment for single-trip journeys via eftpos at a standard metrocard ticket machine. This small convinience, which I'm sure wouldn't cost too much to retrofit, would see patronage increase by a bit.

I always forget about that vantage. Such a rare perspective of our city - love it!
It's pretty nice - I need to find an excuse for more meetings up there!

Hilarious because that is exactly the sort of design that ages and dates really quickly. It's not a timeless product.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

They really should make a reservation beyond the line terminus to future proof any rail extension. Any development in the way will just stuff things up.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

A couple of routes that I can think of that could be rationalised is to scrap the 150 to Port Adelaide, given it is basically a duplication of the train line, and have the 333 route take over the 150 route between Port Adelaide and Outer Harbour in a loop.

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

Far better things the council could be spending $20m on. The square is fine as it is now. There's several streets and footpaths in need of an upgrade than this park.

Love the lattice design on this. Reminds me of the Macqurie Bank building in Sydney. Should look good if it gets completed.
