Final height looks like it would be roughly the current core height from the top of the crane.

Re: interstate passenger trains back to the Adel Railway Station

Adelaide Railway Station would be ideal for interstate and regional trains (If we had a network like Victoria's). Southern Cross platforms 1-8 are not too dissimilar in length to the ARS platforms. I'd like to see the metro services go underground, at new Platforms 10-13 (Seaford-Gawler through 10 &...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

I agree Claybro. A tram to North Adelaide, Norwood or elsewhere other than the CBD will make it more attractive to visit those areas. I don't go to Glenelg often, but when I do, it's because the tram takes me there. There's an accessibility factor about trams that buses can't match. Glenelg would be...

Claybro, that's far too much common sense for the government to understand let alone actually apply in practice.

What the hell does the opening of Jack Ruby have anything to do with Kennedy's assassination?!

This is even more random than some of HiTouch's outbursts.

[APP] Re: 292-300 Rundle Street | 63m | 20 Levels | Mixed Use

There are ample development sites within the CBD that are far more appropriate for proposals like this one. A 63m tall development for an area that has a very well preserved heritage and streetscape, which consists of 19th century low-rise 2 to 3 storey buildings is an absolutely inappropriate and d...

So RTCC can just simply be changed at the stroke of a pen then.

Goes back to my point about there being so much useless and now that you mention it, arbitrary, bureaucracy. It's madness.

Isn't it then just a case really of then building new antennae for the RTCC atop a new tallest building?

Each to thier own. I quite like it and think its a big improvement on what it is currently. We will wait and see how it turns out.

Re: interstate passenger trains back to the Adel Railway Station

Zero.

They missed a real opportunity there when they did the Convention Centre expansion. The supports get in the way of the platforms and tracks. Only option is underground now.

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network

What has happened to the Tonsley to FMC link. There has been no news since the election. Are the liberals just going to review this project for 6 months then quietly forget about it. You can see the piles being built for the support structures of the bridge as part of the Darlington roadworks. Mayb...

Re: What is a P-turn? New manoeuvre coming to Hoddle and Johnston streets

Have you seen how congested Hoddle Street gets in the peak hour? Particularly the section between Johnston and the Eastern southbound. An additional set of traffic lights is only just asking to be queued over. The backup goes as far as the Eastern Freeway itself.

It's destined to fail.

What's RTCC? I've heard of PANSOPS and OLS but not this one?
Radar Terrain Clearance Chart.
And what's the purpose of this limit?

So much bureaucracy for airspace regulations. You'd think it'd just be one metric, not three.
