Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Am I reading this right?

A business lobby who traditionally advocates on behalf of motorists, is advocating for better public transport services?

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Can't build a viaduct at Hove, but hey, she'll be right mate with Marion and Cross Roads, where it'll be a lot bigger and more visually impacting. The same lot of whingers really need to take a long hard look at Melbourne's Level Crossing Removal Projects, which despite initial opposition, has turne...

Re: SA Economy

I had to check the ABS statistics for myself. We actually did grow by 30,500 the past year which is the highest growth I think SA has ever had in actual numbers (not percentage), since, well ever.

Victoria grew by 181,800. So basically 3/4 of a Geelong in just one year. Absolutely crazy growth.

[SWP] Re: Central Market Arcade Redevelopment | 130m | 39 levels

Just to point out the elephant in the room, there's a housing crisis going on and a very high vacancy rate of commercial office space in the CBD.

I think they need to rejig the office component into a residential tower.

I give it a week before they're smashed in or spray painted over.

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Forgot the most important one. How about we stop cutting down established trees!? The amount of green cover we have lost in the last 20 or so years is absolutely horrendous. Trees are literally the best form of protection from the sun and the best solution to the urban heat island effect. And probab...

Sensationally, they have managed to make this redevelopment look worse than the original. It's fucking horrendous and ugly.

Anyone know what's going on the with the Telstra Exchnage building on Waymouth Street? Gantries have gone up around the building and half the carpark adjacent to it has been closed off.
