Re: News & Developments: Prospect
Ahh had no idea they were proposing one all the way out at Munno Para. I thought it was just old Le Cornu and Prospect.

Looks like the prospect store is canned. Paywall article. Apologies for the link, posting while on a bus in Kyoto. https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/subscribe/news/1/?sourceCode=AAWEB_MRE170_a&dest=https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/messenger/north-northeast/german-supermarket-giant-kaufland-shelves-pl...

Re: News & Discussion: Metropolitan Developments
My only thoughts are Costco could possibly buy the warehouses and make them work...thoughts? Is there any other business that would work buying the Masters sites? Storage unit complex? I can see Costco eyeing up the development in Noarlunga as it was part of the Colonnades expansion (including Aldi...

Re: Aldi Distribution Centre | Regency Park $70 Million
The Parafield Gardens Aldi is under construction at the moment on corner of Kings Road and Lavender Drive.
I'll definitely check it out when it opens, but after shopping there in NSW, i'm not expecting much.

Re: Is Adelaide ever going to have Highway or Tunnel?
Wiping out pretty much the whole suburb of Hindmarsh would have been too much IMO.
The main part that should have been started (and which we are seeing bits of) is a North-South freeway...especially considering Adelaide's geographical layout

Re: Pasadena Shopping Centre Redevelopment - Multiplex
Was there today, some stuff inside is open now: Dan Murphy's, Flight Centre and Post Office/Newsagent.
Ned's is due to be open tomorrow, Urban by Target and the Chemist on Thursday.
I didn't check if anything out front was open though.

Re: APP: Cumberland Park Shopping Centre Redevelopment
I can't help but feel they should have demolished the whole lot and build a double storey building on top. Would have been devastating for the businesses on that block though.

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre, Casino & Riverbank Developme
Skycity announced their 1st half profits today along with some concept images. They stressed they are only in discussion stage and will not proceed if they can't get a better deal from the SA Government. Talk about blackmail. 3rd one I've seen. There probably will 3 or more before anything happens....

Re: Old David Jones & John Martins photos?
I agree with what was said earlier about Johnnies being a great loss to this state. I also think that even now particularly it was a bad decision to drop a lower end department store. Look at this article just a month ago: http://www.news.com.au/business/david-jones-sales-fall-by-11-per-cent/story-e...

Shopping precinct and cafe/restaurants would be part of the casino. There would be others seperate like Regattas along that strip as well.

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre, Casino & Riverbank Developme
Hi everyone, new here I have been attracted to this topic because I worked at the Casino. :) Just thought I'd point a couple of things based on what I know. If you mean in the new expansion of the Casino, perhaps they could put part of the iMax Screen underground (aren't most of them around 16m tall...
