The ABC article mentions that two schools may need to be acquired to make way, yet didn't name them. Did the News Corp article mention school names?

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

It seems that demolition has officially started on the main buildings (Theatre, Outpatients & Emergency Blocks) The lift box on top of the helipad is now covered in green scaffolding and most windows have been removed from the buildings. Pics below They've been demolishing the internals of the buil...

[PRO] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line

Those intersection costs though - when you've gotta pay those lollypop workers 70 bucks an hour to stand around, no wonder it costs so much. They don't get paid $70/hour. They'd come pretty close to that on weekends. Pretty standard construction award penalty rates are: Saturday: 1.5x for the first...

[PRO] Re: Torrens Road Grade Separation

Is there any possibility that the crossing will be grade separated by going rail over/under road? Could Hawker St also be involved? Removing these two crossings would mean there's only 4 crossings between Adelaide and Salisbury. With electrification of the line coming, less crossings would mean serv...

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (2019/20 Extension)

They wouldn't build a new structure and then demolish it and rebuild it within 3 years. Looking at those screen shots, it looks as if its simply the layout on the new extension changing when Stage 2 is constructed. Remove a few internal walls and change the internal layout, but the core structure re...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

New Rundle Mall looks good, clean store, well lit, plenty of checkouts, a cafe and windows looking out towards street and Hindmarsh Square Yep, a very nice supermarket indeed. Is it the first Foodland to have self serving checkouts? Norwood has had a small self-checkout area for quite a while now. ...

This isn't a recent addition by any means, but they have numbered the bridges which go over the SEXY, starting with Number 1 at Seacombe Rd. In 60 years time when the South Rd corridor is finished, you will have driven 50km along it from Gawler, passing under numerous bridges, only to reach Seacombe...

[COM] Re: The Bend Motorsport Park

It's the Asian Le Mans series which will race at the circuit next January. Their current 2018-19 season is comprised of 4 and 6 hour races. I'd imagine that the race at The Bend would run for one of these lengths. I'd say is highly unlikely that the cars will be running during the night, although a ...

Not much happening here, does anyone know what the hold up is?
There was this Jewish carpenter born a few years ago. Most construction sites have taken time off to celebrate. I'd expect things to ramp up again soon.

Marion’s issue is a mediocre mainstream fashion and dining offer, not to mention lack of Parking.
The parking issue will, if anything, be made worse with the upgrade as the total number of parks is being reduced..

[CAN] Re: 51-57 Hutt Street | 49m | 13 Levels | Mixed

But it comes down to assessing each development (and the demolition that occurs prior) on its own merits. Demolish old stone cottages in the CBD to build a 13 story apartment building, probably not the worst thing to happen. Demolish the same old stone cottages to build an open car park, definitely ...
