[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

That could possibly be true. I know that's what happened with Buongiorno, they were told that they had two options they either committed to moving to the new precinct or had to close up. I think they're beginning to move businesses on in readiness for the upgrade. I imagine it will eventually happe...

Batik Air Indonesia use B739’s to Perth.
First for Adelaide then?

Latest video of the Southern Interchange ...

You get a real glimpse of the magnitude of the interchange, and the direction the connector will go beyond the interchange, at the end of the video.

SBD: from memory (albeit a long one for me), the hard surface area can accommodate 4 courts side by side. It's hard to make out in that render, but I think they just drew up a single court in the middle. With a little help from the angle of the render, it looks plausible that all seats have some so...

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

Although I called this cheap and tacky yesterday, in light of today's news about us securing a major ATP tournament 12 months from now I can see why this is the only real viable option for updating the facility. The canopy does look rather large and hopefully can be re-purposed for a proper new ind...

Wasn't it the 36'rs who didn't want to move? We talk about grand plans, but the sports need to want them. Yeah the 36ers have no desire to move from TSA. Their owners also own the arena, so they don’t want to move into somewhere where they’ll just be another tenant subject to scheduling clashes. Th...

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

From a purely tennis perspective - it's a much needed upgrade to finally put the WTC out of it's misery. Given Tennis Australia are saying it will be a combined ATP/WTA event, it looks like Perth's won the rights to the ATP Cup group matches - perhaps a reflection on this upgrade not being enough to...

It also can't be over emphasized how fantastic the stadium looks as you fly into Adelaide airport when it's in use. TBH though, when viewing AFL on TV, it looks more like a suburban Sydney ARL ground with the northern mound. Its probably great for the cricket spectators (it is after all a cricket g...

Theres been a few Qantas flights operated by a330s recently, is this an increase in capacity or just a substitute for the 737s?
Substitutes I'd say - to cater for outgoing TDU traffic

Do people really think the redevelopment of Adelaide Oval finished with eastern and southern stands being rebuilt? :secret: No, absolutely not. Eventually I'd love to see them get rid of the hill, put the scoreboard in a museum and finish the job off properly by closing in the stadium from all side...

:secret:
Not at all - in fact there's already been a lighting and signage upgrade that was done in late 2017.

Who’s heard of this? It’s massive tennis news. Australia will host a new tournament called the ATP World Team Cup to be launched in Jan 2020. With $22M prizemoney on offer, the event is set to become the richest tournament in the world outside the four grand slams. Group rounds will be jointly host...

I just want to see a combined Woolworths, Big W, Dan Murphys and pub  Coles group could probably do bigger combination though Coles, Kmart/Target, First Choice Liquor/Liquorland, Bunnings, Charlies Diner They kind of tried that concept 30 odd years ago with "SuperK" Port Adelaide. It was Kmart...
