[COM] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

Boom gates to be installed as well - so paid parking here we come For most people that should be a non-issue - especially as it'll still be free for the first 3 hours one would suspect. If you want to make a day at the shops, the fee for 4-5 hours is generally a token amount ($3 for 4 hours or $5 f...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Jaymz, if there is such a great market for expensive cars then why did Belcar close down ? Maybe their business model wasn't sound, I can only speculate. They were also selling new Jeeps and Alpha Romeos if my memory serves me correctly..... I see the Jeep dealer on Main North Road is also closed d...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Seriously how fucking stupid. It’s bad enough that are shutting down the WHOLE train network let alone on one of the busiest times of the year. Fuck the SAHMRI 40. It can wait until early next year. The previous government normally did any significant track work (train/tram) in January as this is g...

Didn't someone once say here that SGIC was overflowed from their new headquarters? Although 'new' would be 12-13 years old by the time this is likely to be finished, so they could be contenders.
I thought SGIC offshored everything?

Moderately surprised as it always appeared to be relatively busy. Whatever happens, I hope it is tenanted come festival season.
Hopefully it reopens as a company run outlet.

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

The new precinct seems to be permanently buzzing - you have to hunt for an available restaurant if you're a casual walk-up, unless you want to rough it at the Bavarian. I reckon Neil Perry would be embarrassed at the quality of food being served at the Bavarian IMO. Can't see them successfully compe...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Also, another Krispy Kreme is opening in Tea Tree Plaza. At least that's in a place that doesn't already have one. In a CBD, a few hundred metres is the equivalent of a few kilometres in the suburbs. That said, the fad will die out just as it did everywhere else in Australia, I believe Melbourne CB...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

A wise, if not highly embarrassing, decision from the state government.

I think many of us on here can safely say 'I told you so' to the government.

Surely that would boost traffic? tea Tree plus is probably the most dead shopping centre I've ever seen. Modbury Triangle gets more activity.
It will definitely boost the number of Millennials visiting Tea Tree Plus

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

The TTP extension blew me away when I first saw it, very keen now for them to hurry up and start the 2nd stage of it ie the retail expansion. Seems like a perfect time now that half of the old Tea Tree Plus is empty, hopefully after Christmas it might finally get underway. I've heard that a Cotton ...

What the hell happened on the Superway this morning. 35+ minute delays to get to Regency Rd. None of the displays gave the heads up until it was too late, and the Ad Insight app gave no notice of the delay either. Use google maps. With the copious amounts of data that google collects, it beats ad i...

I drove along the new section under Port Road again for the 2nd time on the weekend and noticed that 60km/h seems to be the normal speed limit now for the whole section. I really hope it doesn't remain at 60 but its not looking promising... can anyone shed some light on why it stay at 60? I reckon ...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

I always leave with something when I’m in the Melbourne store. There wasn’t a thing I’d get at our store currently. But, being fast fashion that can change regularly. I got some socks, but I'd also done my H&M shopping at Bondi the other week so I wasn't proactively looking this time around. If I w...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Made the pilgrimage to H&M last night. Our store is much smaller than interstate stores, especially the men's section that's confined to one corner of the first floor. The Adelaide store is much less mirrored than interstate stores too (which might explain the small feel to it). Still, it's great to...
