Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

And they had the top floor of the Gawler Place car park/Parc Arcade building too? The top lift button read David Jones until a few months ago. I presume this was interconnected to one of the floors of Rundle Mall Plaza? It's level with the 6th floor of RMP but if that was always offices I'm not sur...

What really grinds my gears and rattles my Knick knacks is that this road is 60kph and the bottleneck at the Southern end feels like it makes up for all the time supposedly gained. 20 minute bottleneck, kid you not. I've noticed this week that traffic is considerably worse - 20+ minute bottleneck f...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Just out of curiosity, what was this building originally built for? It was built for David Jones in 1960-something. There are a couple of pictures back on this thread: http://www.sensational-adelaide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2810&start=15 In hindsight, they should've never moved. The current D...

Why do people like you have to be an arsehole about it? I would love to see your property that you've worked your whole life to own, renovate and make a home be acquired below its market value for a project like this. AIUI it would be unconstitutional for property to be acquired for below market va...

Thursday 25 October is the opening date for the new precinct.

The Bavarian, Schnitz, Grill'd and TGI Friday's announced as the final 4 tenants in the precinct (though I think TGI Friday's had already been leaked by a council newsletter).

T2T itself is outstanding. What a contrast from what that stretch was to what it is today. One thing I've noticed is since T2T has opened, the Superway has been considerably busy - especially southbound and the South Rd/Regency Rd intersection. It shows the importance that the link between T2T and ...

Interesting doesn’t which part will open but imagine it will be a couple of lanes, rather than a section.
I think it will be open in it's entirety - but will close for a couple of upcoming weekends to complete the resurfacing of the surface roads.

Do you know where in Mile End? No I don't sorry.... There was an article in Saturdays Advertiser that I cant to find online. The Mile End facility is going to be mainly service centre by the sounds of it, with a much downsized sales side. They've set up a service centre in the old Le Cornu distribu...

I rode through the T2T this morning. The rollercoasters nature of the freeway is very obvious when you ride it on a bike. There is a major rise in the lowered motorway between Hawker Street and Torrens Road with a lesser rise between the outer harbour railway line and Hawker Street. I can only assu...

Another woe is me story about Red Door. https://citymag.indaily.com.au/culture/opinion/red-door-bakerys-story-is-the-story-of-adelaide/ The excuses are now that there were no signs or no marketing from the T2T Alliance for businesses. Ummm there have been many clear signs promoting and directing tra...

Re: Beer Garden

Sounds more like incompetent management rather than T2T works - if anything the T2T works made access to the Queen St store easier with the Queen St/Port Rd intersection now signalised.

The Sadvertiser still can't find a positive note for T2T. They've now published a bizarre piece about Red Door Bakery closing blaming the T2T works for closing (despite the fact all Red Door bakeries are now closed). Of course, it's hidden behind a pay wall
