[COM] Re: #APP: Torrens Footbridge (Festival Centre to Adelaide Ov

i think there's a lot of unfair criticism of Cr Moran on this forum.

i dont know her nor do i necessarily support everything she stands for, but there seems to be this blame her for everything attitude here. some of her points are quite valid imo.
not all development is good development.

[COM] Re: #APP: Torrens Footbridge (Festival Centre to Adelaide Ov

Better the bridge to be too wide than too narrow. It's practically an OHSW issue - if ever the need arises for patrons to evacuate Adelaide Oval and or the Riverbank, the bridge provides a convinient ease of access to trasnport tens of thousands of people across to safety as fast and as quickly as ...

if you compare nearmap of 3 years ago to now, all they've achieved is more mud. it didnt look any less like a public park then.

Re: Which Aussie cities hate their airport most

the forecast in the graphic is inaccurately skewed to make it look like Sydney is going to get double the passengers as Melbourne
its a load of tripe designed to influence public opinion and government to spend billions upgrading Sydney's airport as a priority

Re: Mawson Lakes - Not just another suburb

Mawson Lakes really needs to lift its game in the environmental and amenity departments. Currently, there is very little entertainment for locals, particularly young locals - if they want such entertainment, they have to leave the site. Take a cinema for example, the closest one is located at Tea T...

[COM] Re: #APP: Torrens Footbridge (Festival Centre to Adelaide Ov

I'm not sure what I think of it yet. I think it strikes me as somewhat unbalanced, as though there needs to be some sort of structural height on the northern landing to weight the height and mass of forms to the south. I'll admit it's relatively inoffensive, but I wonder if that's enough for our po...

who would've thought that a multilevel car park of all things is what it took to give an otherwise bland/cheap looking airport terminal complex a little bit of style

You can use an umbrella for the 2 minutes it takes to walk across. yeah but given there'll be maybe 20 odd thousand crossing it on matchday ...
