An interesting article posted by InDaily yesterday from an interview with Managing Director Brenton Cox, discussing trying to entice China Southern back, as well as quite a bit on the terminal retailers also.

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
Not an Electrical Engineer, but I am a Civil Engineer in the industry and my understanding is that some substations are set up so that the transformer can work both ways, however there are many that can't. This has led to some areas being prone to voltages creeping high. This is the reason regulatio...

Re: New City Arena
What was the last show there anyway? Pearl Jam in the 90s?! It would appear that there has been some concerts in semi-recent history, 5 concerts since 2008, with the most recent being Jet & Powderfinger in Oct 2010. It would be interesting if any kind of decent acoustics could be achieved with ...

5 metres for each lane seems doable. anyone know how wide the heyson tunnels are? I doubt they would be more than 15 metres. keep in mind the heyson tunnels don't have any emergency stopping shoulders. on each side the lanes are right up against the wall. edit, a quick Google search shows that the ...

A render on the DIT website. The intersection is that of South Road/Henley Beach Road. This looks like the first time I've seen a render for this (I could be wrong though as I don't follow it that closely) where there were clearly three lanes each way in the tunnel? I hope it's a good sign even tho...

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade
The news reported that we’re only getting two new spectator stands to the east and north of the venue, along with some new food and beverage and a precinct upgrade. Wonder what will happen to the west of the court? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Which is contradictory to multiple articles I’ve ...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
I saw people on Facebook claim it would use 46.25MW/day at 100% capacity. I think they pulled that from the wiki page. 46.25 * 365 = 16,881.25MW/year which is 405,150MWh per year, so solar plant on the dirt out front would provide 1/63 of the power required There are currently plans to install sola...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Miniso is empty... I see this as good for mankind. Funnily enough the other similar place around on Grenfell Street (Pop Mart?) has a landlord's notice in the window, still full of pop culture knock off tat however. Wonder if the one at Churchill is still going? I have been to Churchill for the las...

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
I guess the point being, that the phenomenal cost of the AO upgrade is justifiable in terms of even just AFL games some 900000 plus thousand per year over two clubs.- A huge bonus for the CBD that AO attracts over a million extra visitors into the CBD each year, including the cricket, once again ma...

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Then, even if Adelaide United won every home game, and soccer crowds DOUBLED to say 12000 per home game.......Now if Adelaide united go back to just a middle rung club, and there are a few "incidences" at the stadium or outside? Not a good bet if you ask me. United averaged 11,287 this ye...

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
If the tram line stopped infront of Coopers Stadium you could fill it ever week, they should have forced the entertainment center to switch the entrance to Manton street so the tram line could go down there instead of port road. I wonder if with a small upgrade to Hindmarsh (cover for eastern stand...

It was 20k for the 2000 Olympic Football tournament, You can only fit seats in at the southern corners due to the roads on the northern side.Waewick wrote: what about temp stands at Hindmarsh? get it to 25k for the finals? I mean Clipsal just finished.....

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Unless Hindmarsh gets redeveloped to 25,000 - 30,000 or a new venue is built with that capacity, finals will be at AO. Since the first United game at AO which drew 33,126 their attendences there haven't been amazing. The Elimination final last year vs. Brisbane only drew 20,155, followed bu the Vic...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
The govt never actually explained how a Light-Rail would integrate with the existing rail network, whether it would just run between Flinders Uni and Woodlands Park and people interchange there with the train, or if the trams would share the train tracks as far as goodwood or run parallel to the ra...
