[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Because at Panalatinga SEXY only has a northbound entrance and a southbound exit, which means there's no way onto the Expressway to head south, or get off heading north, between Marion Rd and Sherriffs Rd, which makes SEXY a pointless bit of decoration for the people living in Aberfoyle Park, Happy...

[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

There is little traffic on the road with nearly nothing built on it. Only the suburbs of Hallett Cove and Sheidow Park would see any benefit and it would be a very small benefit. The entry/exit does not exist because it would be a giant waste of money. Yes that's how I remember it. So why all the a...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Looking like we might at least get a widened Islington station platform (citybound). But yes, some of the masts between Dudley Park and Ovingham are pretty thick. They all appear to be steel. I'm curious how the Park Terrace bridge is being tackled. lines mounted directly to the underside of the br...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Is that the final design, or will something change so that Southern Expressway traffic doesn't have to split and go round the bridge ramp once everything is finished? It is signed for 2 lanes SEXPY Northbound on the right hand side. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200419/289f158fffbb206424450e07...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Where do the roads on either side of the bridge come from? The bridge is from South Road, so one side must from the Southern Expressway, but which one, and where does the other one come from? Both from the expressway, one is marked for Flinders Drive and Ayliffes road, other is for South road. Alth...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Frankly, the signage bugs me. Especially the Marion Road exit signage. The old individual lane arrow style is in my eyes, the easiest to read and make sense of.

Re: News & Discussion: Other Transport Projects

The Dry Creek Expressway (Montague Road) reservation is still there for most of its length. This would be a far cheaper option than Grand Junction Road. Connect with a basic interchange at Greenfields Wetlands. Still means you would probably need a northfacing on ramp from Salisbury Highway to the ...

Did the full length north and south. It's pretty good, would be even better if people who didn't know how to drive on freeways would stay off it. Every exit had someone cutting across all lanes to get to far left lane
Same thing happens on the SEXY all the time...

NEXY is closed tomorrow to resurface the southbound lanes onto the NC. This must be the last step surely?
Opens this Saturday.
Serious? Thats fantastic. I can't wait to stop driving down Port Wakefield road.
I'll be roadtripping for a suss. ;)

How about pushing freight all the way down south onto a new freeway that services Strathalbyn
https://i.imgur.com/BtaEYzm.png
Well, apart from the fact that what you're proposing would likely cost more than the rail freight component of the Globelink proposal; let's just rip up...

Community open day currently scheduled for Sunday 8 February. Likely to take another couple of weeks after that before opening to traffic. Yep, apart from the southern interchange, bugger all has been happening on the Bolivar and northern interchanges. Some of the variable speed signs at the northe...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Edit: remembered to check the scoping report, and the preferred 2014 strategy was short tunnels at Henley Beach and Sir Donald Bradman with an intersection at James Congdon. Intersection? Perhaps Interchange? That too :p Scoping report suggested it would be the main route into the city from that se...

Pretty much - or exit NC before PRExy and travel down Salisbury Highway via Port Wakefield Road. OR exit at PRExy then via Hanson, Cormack Will the PRExy exit join Salisbury Highway far enough east that it would be possible to cross over and exit onto the ground level South Road immediately? I can'...
