Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Interesting that the render no longer shows a tram line. I'm pretty sure that the covered walkway between the hotel and the terminal is where the tram terminus was in previous renders...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

I take it that after last Saturday, we won't be thinking about planning of further tram extensions for a few years, and probably for a decade till anything is constructed. I'm not completely writing off a North Adelaide extension or, less likely, part of the city loop. Especially if the Commonwealt...

Brother, how can you say that the Adelaidean is cheaper than Realm when they're both being built on the same shoe string budget of $100 million ? Realm and the Adelaidean are both cheap. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we're ever going to get an iconic tower than it will be the Sofite...

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects

The car park above Parc Arcade overlooking Gawler Place has had a lot of holes cored through its facade. I presume either there are stability issues which require these panels to be bolted to the sub-structure, or there is going to be some sort of cladding installed. I've never minded this one from ...

The announcement was for the start of construction of the roof.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

OPSM in Rundle Mall Plaza seems to have closed down - the store is being gutted now. I did wonder whether they were planning a move seeing as they opened a new store on Rundle Mall a few months ago, although it seems a little strange that they bothered staying in RMP and fitting out that store from ...

[U/C] Re: 11 Frome Street | 135m | 37 Levels | Crowne Plaza / Adelaidean | New tallest

There's plenty of room there, as Will pointed out, although hopefully they go taller now with the precedent of two 100m~+ towers in the area. And either side of Masonis hall they could do something as well. Though I'd imagine there might be a few more court cases about views  On the western si...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Maybe they thought the shotcrete (with no reo etc) would suffice as they were putting pre-cast panels in front if it? Anyone know if this has been the standard treatment for T2T and our other motorways? Haven't seen it anywhere else on T2T from memory but it has been used on stretches of the Torren...
