And don't forget a few of the smaller ones around the area......corner of South Terrace and Morphett Street is very close to completion (forget the name of it), Forme Projex in the middle of a new one on Gilbert Street (across the road from the IGA), and a tiny 10 apartment building recently complet...

Noticed some sort of large crane around the vicinity of this site today from the tram. Not sure if it was this particular development but my fingers are crossed! If it's the large mobile crane on Sturt St. you're talking about, I'm 99% sure that it's for the Ergo development across the road. Has be...

Dvious, the Unisa building will not start until the middle of next year, the developers of Central Adelaide and New Mayfield have both said that construction will start this year. Whether this will happen or not, who knows.... In terms of the new hotel on currie street, looks good but still a long ...

I hope i'm wrong, but I doubt there is enough demand for any new office developments to go ahead in the CBD in the short term. The few larger ones that have been completed in the past couple of years have already created an oversupply. Good to see that a healthy number of residential towers (by Adela...

No definate start date yet Dvious. All purchasers did receive and email a few weeks ago stating that a start date will be announced soon.......but nothing since. I'm certain that enough pre-sales have been achieved, so would hope that it's sooner rather than later. A bit frustrating to be honest. Al...

Agreed. While I have bought a place in New Mayfield and am still happy with my purchase, if Vue had
been on the market at the same time, I would definately have preferred to buy into that. It's something
Adelaide hasn't seen before.

I don't care too much for the reason for this building, or who wants to build it. It's far from ugly, and we should have more of these modern glass structures. We don't have enough demand for large amounts of new commercial office space, so who cares. We should grab this with both hands, hope it get...

If even 2 or 3 of the more likely 80m + proposals eventually go ahead, it will have quite an impact on a skyline as small as Adelaide's. Hope it happens.

I was in the sales office a few days ago, as I normally do every 4 weeks or so. I was informed that all people that have purchased an apartment will receive official correspondence very soon as to the commencement date of this project. Also, due to the steady demand for the first building, sales for...

Yep, the 86 is probably a mixture of "sold" and "on hold". As for the affordable pricing, that may be the case for the 1 bedroom apartments. As for the 2 bedroomers, they are more expensive than other developments proposed or being built in the city. I would probably put the good...

silent majority are thinking just hurry up and build it!

The deposit is paid back in full if it doesn't proceed.
Don't worry, I took the contract to a property lawyer to be looked over before signing up, and that was my first question! And I would always recommend this to anybody buying off the plan.

Well thanks Phantom, and will do. I am very confident that stage 1 or "New Mayfield House" will go ahead in the very near future. I can't speculate on stages 2 and 3 (Granary and Light House), but at best I would imagine the whole development would span over a period of 5 years or so. Will...
