Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development

Has a builder been appointed for 62 South Terrace, as yet? Cannot find any info anywhere... I'd resoundingly say yes, because there was concrete being poured the last couple days. I have no idea who that builder is though. Also, being an 8 level building, would this one be needing a fixed crane?

Noticed today as I was walking by, the last level of apartments had no ceiling installed. Plus the top level still a construction site. But furniture and the likes on most other levels, meaning they obviously have ppl living in them.

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

Tailem Bend Solar farm was built and planned for the South Australian market, the NSW interconnector was a far flung idea at the time. Having said that there is also Heywood Connector which enables South Australia to export (max 650mw) into the National Electricity Market. I am waiting to see the l...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

I'm far from an expert on the whole electricity grid and the complicated mess it's become, so please excuse my ignorance in asking.... BUT, once the planned interconnector between SA and NSW is completed, will projects like the one mentioned above then become necessary in exporting extra supply acro...

Yep ⬆️, I feel that Adelaide is finally getting the casino it deserves. I've said it on this forum before, that for me it was the most important piece in the riverbank redevelopment.

So best case scenario, this could be ready to move into late 2021? current schedule / best case is late 2020 This project is backed by the previous state Govt. (financially) who rightly or wrongly backed a company who was far beyond their depth. I hope we see it through to the end as it's a damn fi...

There's a piling rig parked on the now cleared site at 64 South Terrace. Anyone have any info on what might be happening here?

Surely that’s the biggest hole ever dug in the Adelaide CBD?

The only other one I think which would come close was the Myer Centre.
Yep, i'm 99% sure it's the biggest civil contract awarded in the history of Adelaide CBD. It's a bloody big hole in the ground.

It's a shame that another large project in Adelaide's CBD has gone to a Melbourne builder.

That's a very insular perspective. The build should be awarded to whoever puts in the best quote.

I don't think this one looks as nice as the original SAHMRI, but still pretty decent.

The technology to be housed inside though, is more than exciting 8)

Yeah but to me, Currie and Grenfell are prolly our most "downtown NY" streets. No real need for them to be beautified. They serve the purpose they're designed for. The plan wasn't so much about beautifying them, as making them more prominent public transport corridors. Well then, see me dishing out...

Is there nobody on Sensational Adelaide with even the slightest level of influence on Adelaide City Council or State Government decision making? Not one person? Anyone? If it's you, and you're reading this now... what the fuck is your problem? You have an army of researchers and place-makers at you...

Hey Ben, any chance you were the Ben who got their photo of the Adelaide skyline on channel 10 weather report tonight? Definitely taken from Kodo 🤔
