[CAN] Re: [PRO] Re: Hove Level Crossing Removal | $171m

Like most DPTI projects in SA, this one is going at snails pace. Quite possibly the most inefficient department there is. This project was never intended to start before next year. Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Contracts, Service & Policy

It's rather ironic that interstate people were employed. This is the classic job market situation. I'm sure people applied that were from here and could easily do the work, but they just went for their mates.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council

A pity we don't have recall elections in this country. This is the perfect case for the whole council to be disbanded. Bring in fresh blood not these old geezers who just veto everything. North Adelaide empty block, aquatic centre, pit building in Vic Park, gag orders, over zealous parking inspector...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Where was South Brighton Station? - It's on the 1974 map and was demolished when the new Brighton Station was built in 1976. Brighton Station was moved 200m south. Seacliff station is only 1km from Brighton, maybe 1.5km max before the rebuilds in 1976. South Brighton would have been very close to S...

Maybe an ADL-MEL-SIN or ADL-PER-SIN routing could be an option? Clear international customs in Adelaide and land at the international terminals in PER or MEL. Would also be handy for NZ connections.

I think these sorts of routes might become popular again when international flights resume.
