Thank goodness this project is still alive - i am very much hoping it goes ahead and changes Adelaide's skyline profile forever. There has not been any SCAP meeting update for a month - the last meeting details are from the 27 March.

Sometimes the sky city building looks awful - but when the lighting is right, it really looks pretty good.

Are the covered rectangular 'boxes' on the plaza level the columns for the next building?

The plaza area around the building is so much more inviting accessible than it was before, with seating and (increasingly) more shade.

Drove by today and the deloite sign is up - should look OK at night - it is certainly big enough...

I am kinda pleased as it shows some level of commitment - as long as the buildings are demolished and the site stays empty for years.

That area of the CBD is so underdeveloped, and the neglect of the heritage Newmarket hotel is really disappointing. That whole quadrant is really in need of development to bring people and life into that part of the city. Here's hoping.

I really hope this goes ahead - a new tallest with a decent design - reminds me a bit of the Rialto Tower in the olden days, when it really stood out on the Melbourne skyline.

There is a climbing collar on the crane now - maybe a crane rise over the weekend?
