Re: The Housing Crisis

anyone here tried to get a rental property lately? Are we all happy here to have record levels of homelessness, immigration and a housing shortage to go because erm, mOrE dEnSiTy ? is Albo doing a great job? Hi abc, I understand your opinion, but rest assured, the housing crises is actually nothing...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

How is $600m a lot to spend? If anything $200m was nowhere near enough even as a projected price tag. No one would be saying the same if this were a contemporary gallery, which would cost the same (if not more)… In a state such as South Australia with a fairly small budget, how is $600m not a lot t...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

Additionally, being both European and North American myself, I can tell you for a fact that people from these regions do not care to visit a contemporary art gallery in Australia. They all want to see the cultural aspects that make Australia a different location than visiting an old European city or...

Re: New City Arena

Can't wait for this new stadium : ), it will enlighten the river bank. That area of the land is degraded as fuck. Needs to be bulldozed and redeveloped ASAP There were a bunch of greenies protesting against the proposed development there the other day - probably 30 people or so. I dare say at least...

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

This project has to be built in the area or adjacent to the new RAH. I work in the medical field and can tell you many staff that work at one hospital likely work at another. This shorter time could easily mean saving more lives (ie. Specialised trauma surgeons going between WCH and RAH, toxicologi...

Re: New City Arena

In my opinion the stadium design is OK, it would be better if we had a coherent and organised pattern to our architecture particularly the two potential nearby stadiums. However, what I now really don't support is a big open railyard not being covered by this new stadium. My main support originally ...

Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

As a worker in medical field I support these border closures for our populations sake. It's annoying I know, I was supposed to go to Melbourne today for work, but until the vaccine comes in its too risky, especially considering how relaxed we have become here in SA. Nicola Spurrier has by far one of...

Signage now all lit up at night including balconies (which has been lit up for a while now). In my opinion it looks much better at night than during the day!

Some more photos of the crown, from the original renders I thought this was supposed to be a white (or lit up?) glass? There's certainly been no reflection of light at any time of day, hence why I added this in. Bit disappointed if it is just this as the white bands were great in breaking up the bui...

Some updates from out the back end of the new biomes building on north terrace across from SAHMRI where they are adding two floors. First is to show new structural supports of additional floors and second was taken from right beside where that guy escaped the remand centre last week. It night just b...
