Mean while you’re over here accepting a 2 4 1 and Benny’s corner store content with the absolute mediocrity of it all. Oi. I love that you can look at a building that would have barley been passable for the Gold Coast skyline circa 1965 and think it’s half way decent. Here’s a good drag name for ya....

This already looks 40 years dates.

Another case of miss leading renders. Not that they looked that great tin begin with.

That sucks their upstairs dining was great. Wasn’t a fan of down stairs on the weekend though.

In true Adelaide fashion I can see what is eventually proposed to be a lot worse than what we see here. I’m biting my tongue though.

'Cheap' seems to be the most commonly used word on this forum. Most of which by people who have no direct involvement or vested interest in such projects. Probably never even set foot on a commercial construction site for that matter. I suppose, maybe painting the concrete is more expensive t...

I’m surprised we don’t have more of them in Oz tbh. They do so well in the UK. Appeal to a mass dining crowd and its great food.

This needs to be a other 100m taller.
At the point where the current designs finish, have the same finish with curried edges inset all the way up.

Great pics, thank you!

It’s hardly a looker but it could be worse. Decent filler at best.

Didn’t the Adelaidian developer try and purchase the building on the corner and was turned down, some years back when they first purchased the land for their development? I can inderstand their frustration. It may sound juvenile but had Adelaidian turned out to be quality, I would sympathise more. T...

Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

So glad this is all going ahead. In the least this will really lift the Port and bring more workings and people living in the area. Are the warehouse refurbishments and museums that were planned still to go ahead? They’d compliment the new housing nicely. Not sure if this is a discussion for the eco...

What else is going up in this area? There’s the Adelaide Uni student accom which based off of the early renders looked fantastic. And that real skinny building going across from these two. The north-east skyline will look fantastic.

[COM] Re: Armada Arndale (Redevelopment) | $200m

So basically just bulldoze the thing and start from scratch. It’s a turd. Dressing it up anymore isn’t going to help at this point and the centre had a poor stigma to it.

I know realistically it won’t happen for probably another ten years. Shame about the cinema though.
