Re: News & Developments: Prospect

An empty concrete building would just become a magnet for vandalism and graffiti.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

The new Flinders Link service would have to be every 15 minutes from 700am to 700 pm weekdays otherwise passengers from Aberfoyle Park and Flagstaff Hill won't use the new service? I really don't it will be every 15 minutes outside of peak. It will most likely be every 30 minutes. 20 minutes at most.

Yet again I have had to clean up this thread. While I and the rest of the moderators would like this to be an open forum for many views and opinions, this is not a place to post about the latest controversy you have seen on the web or what's in the dark web or what the latest conspiracy theory is. S...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Port Adeliade-Largs-North Haven-Outer Harbour will also have an On-Demand Service. Thats not surprising that on-demand bus services are increasing in Adelaide. Given large amounts of the Adelaide metropolitan area is really low density I think we will see more in the future. And I have a question f...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

This is a contract by the airport for on-ground transport, not the state government contracting buses to the airport. Completely different things.

First decent crash on the NC, just south of Bolivar interchange, northbound. 20+min delays and no way of turning around or devouring. No Google maps traffic or VMS yet either
Maybe they should put the speed limit back to 80km/h ;)

Re: SA Economy

That very last paragraph is important:
Santos confirmed some positions now based in Adelaide will move to Brisbane and others will move from Perth and Brisbane to Adelaide, but says there will be no reduction in the company’s net jobs in South Australia.

It's strange timing though, when the supermarkets have actually reduced opening hours to allow more restocking time.

The reproduction rate in Australia is so far lower than the worst hit countries but not flat enough to keep us in line with the best controlled countries. South Australia has the next most cases per capita after NSW, though thankfully no evidence yet of community transmission. But I wonder what ove...

The traffic volumes would not justify having such a freeway for decades to come. They haven't even duplicated Victor Harbor Road yet!

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Interesting, it's great to see the expansion of many go zones and will make for fewer shortrunnings and a more attractive service for many. I can definitely see the point behind making Blackwood and Seacombe Gardens on-demand services, especially at night and on weekends, as they are very sparsely u...

They would need to change the departure time of the Overland as Adelaide Railway Station is almost at capacity in peak hour. Or do that when the CBD underground link is in operation. Even the platforms for the Belair line? It's low frequency, so maybe they can slot in the Overland between Belair tr...

They stopped non Aussies coming in from China, and then let in 31,000 chinese students anyway. Why? I'm pretty sure they were let in because they will be here for the long term, so they will be self-quarantining for the 14 days required. Most tourists and business travelers are here for less than 1...
