Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I am one of those people who favour closing stations, here is my list : Belair Line Remove : Mile End, Torrens Park, Lynton, Coromandel. Build new station near Springbank Road replacing Torrens Park and Lynton Some of Adelaide stations are truly embarrassing...why does anyone think that a station l...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I think the Gawler Line will see many of the benefits electrification can bring since the stations are a bit more spread out and the track is straighter. There are parts on the Seaford line that are rated at 110km/h, including near Oaklands and the extension beyond Noarlunga. The Gawler eletrificat...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Adelaide Metro trams being trialled in the snow of Ploiești. r_uO6xNnczk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_uO6xNnczk I know, I know, that's not literally an Adelaide Flexity, but it looks soooo close in the same livery. A brief amount of internet research has returned nothing on why they chose the ...

Is this still going to be a Sofitel hotel? I notice the signage has been removed for a few months now.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

I have seen this suggestion for other cities and I am going to repeat it for Adelaide. During the coronavirus lockdown the state government should change the traffic light sequence in the CBD to speed up the tram services. Do it now whilst traffic is light and any issues can be ironed out. Perfect ...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Cars waiting to turn right at ridiculously small intersections is the bane of my driving life. On major roads like Unley Road, many cars park in the left lane, while others block the right lane while waiting to make right turns at every little cross street, making it very hard for through traffic t...

Bentham street should be on hold until the travelodge completed. Bring forward Leigh street it makes sense. Otherwise Bentham will be dug up again.
Has this been put on old? There's been no action on this site for at least 4 months now

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects

https://indaily.com.au/news/local/2020/02/24/city-laneway-facelift-hits-roadblock/ Are we the slowest laneway developers in the world, on top of the slowest carpark/plaza builders? I hate to say this but I think Bank Street and Leigh Street should be fully reopened to cars, we should be focusing th...

Can’t wait till 2024 when this is finished 😂
Progress certainly has been very slow for this one. End product should be spectacular though, so it will be worth the wait. Just wish it was taller!

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects

The street parking looks like it'll be similar to what's now at King William Rd, Hyde Park.
