[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

Once saw an international tennis event there some years back and being a poor student bought tickets in the far end bay in the southern stand. Struck me then what an absurd design MD was for centre court tennis. They had no qualms in selling expensive tickets for seats with a great view of everythi...

The Labor plan was good, the original Liberal plan was shit, the new Liberal plan is the best of the 3.

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

The roof is an improvement, yes, but still terribly underwhelming for that we should have there instead. I recall hearing that if we do end up getting a proper multipurpose arena at Memorial Drive one day that they can dismantle and reuse the roof structure elsewhere without too much difficulty. You...

Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use

Nah, South Australia doesn't need any more dodgy servos. South Australian, family-owned businesses are "good" in some contexts. We seem to like buying food and wine from them, why don't "we" like buying our fuel from them? There's some pretty dodgy people running petrol stations in Adelaide. I work...

Just quietly, thank fkn chrst the State Bank/State Debt/Santos/Westpac/isosceles bloody triangle isn't the tallest anymore. It's like the bloody 30 year old who never moved out and playing master of puppets every day to remind you he's still there Although it's not the tallest, unfortunately it's s...

Photo from today - formwork of Wingfold Tower almost equal to full height of Uno Apartments (to the right). Main core of Sofitel continues to rise in between the two. [click on pic to enlarge]

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Slice Of Brooklyn is relocating to Tea Tree Plaza (next to Phone Planet). Relocating, or opening up a new store at TTP while keeping the current CBD store? Relocating indeed. Just saw a closure notice in the CBD store. Yep, saw that this afternoon too. Also noticed that the Meat and Cheese Club nex...

[U/C] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

Can't have a State Minister making a statement that says ' the best ' - see the word 'the' - he didn't make a subjective statement - he made an actual statement, one that is incorrect. He needed to stick to the positives of having a unique situation with a hotel attached to a major sporting stadium...
